Starter motor - Brashwoody - 30-10-2013

Hey peeps, ive had to fit 2 starters to my s16 engine in the last 2 months, every time it rains really bad and i hit a puddle, the starter seizes up and will not turn at all,
is this jst me or has any1 else had this issue and/or has a solution to it ?? thanks all

NO! Are these new parts or second hand? You could of just payed for units that where no good? Sods law maybe!

You wanna be more careful of how you hit puddles if thats the case. If the starter motor is copping it, you're not far off the air filter....

How do you know for sure its the puddles doing this?

I don't see how a puddle can make a starter motor seize up... But it's good practice not to drive through puddles anyway unless you can help it

both times were unavoidable, and they were both recond units, i have fitted a new unit now and it seems okay now, will not be buying recond units again
