Think my front shocks are fooked... - laurence_13 - 27-10-2013 No visible leaking around the rod or the rubber sock inside the spring, but on top of the shocks has got oil around them and in the recess. The damping on them still seems alright, and it doesnt bounce when you push it down and release it again. Any ideas why its there? popped reservoir or something? ![]() ![]() RE: Think my front shocks are fooked... - Grant - 27-10-2013 That won't be oil or anything up there. Give thm a clean up and keep an eye on then RE: Think my front shocks are fooked... - laurence_13 - 27-10-2013 (27-10-2013, 02:13 PM)Grant Wrote: That won't be oil or anything up there. Give thm a clean up and keep an eye on then It's definitely oil of some sort... I'll clean them up and keep an eye on them anyway, cheers RE: Think my front shocks are fooked... - Connor - 27-10-2013 Wont be from the shocks, if they were leaking, theyd just drip down the body of the shock RE: Think my front shocks are fooked... - laurence_13 - 27-10-2013 (27-10-2013, 03:06 PM)Connor Wrote: Wont be from the shocks, if they were leaking, theyd just drip down the body of the shock Hmm odd!... I popped the sump te other day but the underside of the bonnet and top of the engine aren't covered In oil, it's just the top mounts.. RE: Think my front shocks are fooked... - Rippthrough - 27-10-2013 Not if the shafts are gun drilled, if the upper o-ring is f*cked they would leak into there. What shocks are they?
