tilting engine forward - therefused - 17-10-2013 when tilting the engine forward i am aware i need to put a jack under the engine and undo the top mount. is there anything else i need to be aware of? i.e removing certain pipes ect i dont want to crush something. thanks RE: tilting engine forward - strictly_perv - 17-10-2013 Jack engine to remove pressure, remove top mount bracket. Done. Some say its good to put some padding on the jack face to protect the sump but I've never bothered Re: tilting engine forward - kentiiboii - 17-10-2013 Just small bit of wood will do. RE: tilting engine forward - Just Sean - 17-10-2013 That's what I used on the hdi. RE: tilting engine forward - karl1989 - 17-10-2013 I use rubber piping like a boost hose RE: tilting engine forward - HDIkyle - 17-10-2013 Steel sump I never bother. Might need to undo exhaust depending how far forward your going RE: tilting engine forward - 4WayDiablo - 18-10-2013 Watch out for the coolanthose off the front of the block. I rocked it too far and it split the hose on the rad RE: tilting engine forward - 306Puggy - 18-10-2013 Yeah mate just use a block of wood wedged between the head and the bulkhead to hold it in place. There is a cut out in the chassis which is where I usually wedge it. As for the sump just jack it right on the corner if you don't have a block of wood as that is it's strongest point. |
