1st,3rd,5th....tough to engage, what to adjust? - Piggy - 10-10-2013 Got solid linkages and a proper motorsport adjustable quickshifter... had to retighten it all other day and now 1st and 5th are real buggers to get in. have adjusted it again to give more leverage but no difference. Im wondering if I can adjust the linkages to help...but I cant figure out which one would want adjusting!? any ideas?! RE: 1st,3rd,5th....tough to engage, what to adjust? - silverzx - 11-10-2013 Its your gear linkages or the lever arm that connects from your stick to your linkages. I had same problem when I fitted a TD04L to the 205. Hammer and vice is all thats required... Edit: Might get away just bending some of the gear linkages but just have someone change gears whilst you peer down at them, it will soon become clear which is causing you problems. RE: 1st,3rd,5th....tough to engage, what to adjust? - Piggy - 11-10-2013 had another fiddle...removed exhaust heatshield as it just touched it. an hour later and huge gash in my finger...and its off. adjusted links too. still seems tricky. I noticed the compbrake shifter is actually fouling itself in the housing if that makes sense. the two sleeves, top/bottom of the ball joint, which hold the gear stick to the shifter, well the bottom one (under the car) is basically fouling the inside of the compbrake shifter housing...meanin its restricting the travel ![]() RE: 1st,3rd,5th....tough to engage, what to adjust? - Ruan - 11-10-2013 (11-10-2013, 10:46 AM)Anton Wrote: Erm tricep?
