Cyclone tyres - mcglynn - 25-09-2013 Anyone running cyclones on 50 profile tyres and lowered say 60mm? Can get tyres real cheap and wondering has anyone done it, any photos? RE: Cyclone tyres - Jonny81191 - 25-09-2013 You'll find most people run 50 profiles as they're cheaper. RE: Cyclone tyres - Niall - 25-09-2013 Moved to the correct section ![]() Correct, 50 profiles are a lot cheaper but you do ever so slightly compromise comfort and speedo accuracy (only by a tiny amount though!) RE: Cyclone tyres - mcglynn - 25-09-2013 Sorry did look for a 'tyres' section should have really thought about it some more haha! Happy days ill be buying the 50s then! I've found that 55's are generally cheaper and easier to find But either way 50'. Are fine and.better suited to a low car RE: Cyclone tyres - Curt - 25-09-2013 (25-09-2013, 11:22 PM)4WayDiablo Wrote:(25-09-2013, 09:28 PM)Jonny81191 Wrote: You'll find most people run 50 profiles as they're cheaper. Where have you been looking?! ![]() RE: Cyclone tyres - puglove - 26-09-2013 i run 50's on all 3 of our 306's much better IMO. cheaper, look better, handle slightly better RE: Cyclone tyres - bigcheez2k3 - 26-09-2013 I had 50's on the old car, this one came with 55's and I find it looks better as it fills the arches more. RE: Cyclone tyres - THE_Liam - 26-09-2013 I've just got 4 195/50 Uniroyal Rainsport 2s from Camskill for £133, great tyres ![]() RE: Cyclone tyres - paul7278 - 26-09-2013 i run 195 50 15 toyo lowered 60mm and its spot on! RE: Cyclone tyres - mcglynn - 26-09-2013 Anyone got any pictures of this? Interested in doing both, tyres on my cyclones are on theyre way out so means I have an excuse to refurb them and get new rubber (2nd hand off a mate) but for two kuhmos and two random budgets hes after £30 which is dead on considering they have decent tread alone. RE: Cyclone tyres - Curt - 26-09-2013 ![]() 55 profiles and lowered... somewhat. RE: Cyclone tyres - Ruan - 26-09-2013 After having both now, I'd always go for 55 profiles - it's not until you go back to them that you realise how much better they drive on them... I was always an advocate of 50 profiles, but now, I'd always have 55s, even with their increased cost. Decent 55s with a strong sidewall drive WAY better than shoddy 50 profiles. That's just me though.... I feel you can ALWAYS tell Peugeot designed them to be on 55 profiles... RE: Cyclone tyres - Poodle - 26-09-2013 Theres some pics of mine kicking about in the castle combe thread, thats lowered ~50mm on 50 profiles. Im not after extreme handleability or anything, just if theyre dead on and dont look silly arch gap wise then ill get them, its cheap at 30 quid for 4 tyres, itl do me a few mile anyways! RE: Cyclone tyres - Poodle - 27-09-2013 £30 for four?? What on earth are you buying, 3 year old nankangs? :o RE: Cyclone tyres - puglove - 27-09-2013 50profile tyres a tad higher on the back RE: Cyclone tyres - underground375 - 27-09-2013 Where you get them rear mud flaps from puglove? |
