Apply by phone

You can apply by phone if:
you were shown as the registered keeper on the original registration certificate
your name, address and vehicle details haven’t changed
you can pay the £25 fee by debit or credit card

Apply by post

Complete form V62 ‘Application for a vehicle registration certificate’ and send it to DVLA with the £25 fee.

There is no fee if you haven’t received the V5C registration certificate for your new vehicle but still have your green V5C/2 section. You’ll need to send this in with the completed V62 form.

All information like this can be found on the .gov site, much easier than relying on the interwebz interpretation/opinion of the law/gov processes. Wink

Not saying anyone in here is throwing hearsay about, just that its daft asking when the info is easily available.

Humm I wonder what the time limit is on it.

I never received mine last year, and for 25 quid I thought 'sod that'.
Tax the car online with the tax reminder that is sent to my house and havn't needed a V5 yet.

Modified once and it still doesn't make any sense! What's India got to do with 'owt?
