RE: kingys new daily. - kingy - 08-09-2013

And yeah piggy, its well comfy.

RE: kingys new daily. - Pete - 08-09-2013

Good cars, The old Mondeos handle well too. Rare to see one without gaffer tape and rot these days!

Did wonder that myself, My 6 pot averages 25 mpg which would hurt on a daily lol

RE: kingys new daily. - Grant - 08-09-2013

Been in a couple of these. As said, comfortable. Just don't go gaffa taping it when you dent it like every other mondeo owner lol

RE: kingys new daily. - kingy - 08-09-2013

Bit of rust on one arch and a few dents here and their but for the money its still full of win.

No gaffa tape on this one lol.

And yeah a v6 for a daily. And yeah its thirty but hey hoe.

RE: kingys new daily. - lolsteve - 08-09-2013

thirsty but cheap to buy which balances out in the long run against a expensive to buy cheap to run car

Re: kingys new daily. - kentiiboii - 08-09-2013

Write kingy nice find. My fussy car was q 2litre mondeo and it was so comfy and nice to drive. Smile

RE: kingys new daily. - ozonehostile - 08-09-2013

How's the rear bumper? Incredibly rare to still get an intact one these days haha

RE: kingys new daily. - Jake - 08-09-2013

My god is that a silver mondeo without silver duct tape all over it..

RE: kingys new daily. - kingy - 08-09-2013

Back bumper in mint condition and whats all this about duct tape

kingys new daily. - MarkTD - 08-09-2013

RE: kingys new daily. - Strikeforce - 08-09-2013

Lack of duct tape dissapoints Sad

Re: kingys new daily. - THE_Liam - 10-09-2013

Good chassis on these, and you can't knock 160bhp and 62k for £350.

RE: kingys new daily. - C.A.R. - 10-09-2013

Not many of these around without duct taped bumpers to be fair!

Chap at work had the later version in performance blue, looked lovely, but he was crippled on fuel. More of a smooth cruiser than 'fast' IMO though, they make a lovely noise though!

170.

RE: kingys new daily. - Toms306 - 10-09-2013

Atleast you used colour coded tape Pete haha!

My dad had about 4 or 5 of this shape mondeo, only 1.8 and 2.0 petrols though. He kept buying them for ~£400 running them till MOT and scrapping for another one as there were loads about lol. None of his were duct taped either though!

RE: kingys new daily. - Eeyore - 10-09-2013

bargain!

RE: kingys new daily. - kingy - 10-09-2013

Im currently £60 out of pocket due to fuel since Saturday lol.
My own fault though. Just gotta clog it everywhere. Few little niggles like cental locking playing up and a wobnle on the steering wheel about 80. No major problems though. Da da da da daaa, im loving it.

kingys new daily. - Jonny b - 10-09-2013

Thats on of the benefits of getting on a bit mate. Cheap insurance on big engined cars. Gives you more to spend on fuel and beer. We'll have to meet sometime mate.
Picturs or maybe bowling, see how it goes. Few glasses of wine and back to mine. Lol.

kingys new daily. - Jonny b - 10-09-2013

Fuckin hell I wasn't askin for a date!!

Slow down bruv! Lol

RE: kingys new daily. - kingy - 10-09-2013

Lol. Will have to try and make it to ace one time.

RE: kingys new daily. - vtec power gt - 10-09-2013

Lot of car for the money and quite good on fuel for the engine size my brother had the later mk3 one the only down size on his one was the amount for road tax it cost a fortune out of interest how much is 6 months on this I guess its done on the older and cheaper tax basis for this one.

RE: kingys new daily. - Poodle - 10-09-2013

Can just see you two in a double-act actually...

That's a lot of car for £350 mate, fair play! Rather you than me on the fuel though. Confused

RE: kingys new daily. - kingy - 10-09-2013

Yeah fuels gonna take some cash out the bank but imo its well worth it just for the noise.
And tax? Not to sure yet as my new insurance aint come through.
