Potential Boost Leak - adamm306 - 05-09-2013 Hi all as some of you are aware I crashed my P1 and recently bought a P2 it has a cat and a lucas which could be the reason for it feeling ALOT slower than the P1 but my guess is a potential boost leak when driving the turbo is very loud and i mean when im driving at 60+ it sounds like the heater fans are on full blast when I put my foot down and it seems to struggle to get up hills. Other than the big pipe on the left hand side of the IC and the D-seal where else can I check for leaks if anywhere? before anyone has a go at me i have searched for this only guide I could find was a paid subscribers one on 306.net Any help would be appreciated thanks. RE: Potential Boost Leak - 4WayDiablo - 05-09-2013 Sounds like a boost leak to me! I'd be looking in the places you say as well as the manifold gaskets You'll ideally need a boost guage to check what psi you are actually getting If you ever need a hand with anything. Me and tom are quite handy with a spanner and I'm like 2 miles from you lol RE: Potential Boost Leak - adamm306 - 05-09-2013 ive had a boost gauage for like 2 months but never got round to fitting it lol and yeah thats awesome are you on facebook atall? its easier to get in contact with people on there could do with a hand now and then ill order a dseal anyway as if im inspecting it might aswell change it thanks Potential Boost Leak - Dan306DT - 06-09-2013 I need help as well if possible Fitted a boost gauge and standard I was getting 10 psi spoke to derv doctor and from my turbo which he said is a gt15? Are you getting allot of on boost smoke? If not more fuel and boost! RE: Potential Boost Leak - adamm306 - 06-09-2013 bump.. where else can i check except these 2 places the pipe coming off the bottom of the IC in the middle (where you connect a boost pipe to) seems to be bit oily after a drive hard could it be leaking out of here? RE: Potential Boost Leak - Tom - 06-09-2013 (06-09-2013, 07:25 PM)adamm306 Wrote: bump.. where else can i check except these 2 places Yes could be that. Split pipe from turbo to intercooler, could be either of those connections. Could be a split intercooler (rare) D seal could be f*cked. Manifold gasket could be leaking.
