Bit of advice on what people think my car would be worth when finished...give me a bit of a boost to crack on with it.
1997 "P" 306 D Turbo
Black
Interior/Exterior
HDi DTurbo interior, gti6 door cards
Suede OMP style dished steering wheel
Tinted rear 1/4 windows
Mechanical TIM gauges in DIN pod (Oil Press, Oil Temp, Water Temp)
Twin pillar pod with Racetech Boost gauge, TIM voltmeter
Digital EGT gauge and Sensor
Morettes with HID's
HDi sideskirts
17" superlight alloy wheels with 205/40/17 tyres
Wind deflectors
Suspension/Brakes
GTI6 front and rear brakes with new discs/pads
GMAX front/rear uprated shocks, -40mm front springs
GTI6 front arb, rear beam
Engine
Fully rebuilt XUD9TE engine, with uprated conrods, brand new pistons, rings, bearings everything overhauled, brand new cylinder head with victor reinz gaskets.
Engine has been balanced
Lightened Flywheel
CG Motorsport 4 paddle unsprung clutch
GTI6 gearbox
Turbo dynamics Hybrid T25 turbo
11mm Bosch pump with reconned injectors, fully modded, LDA etc
Oil Cooler with mocal sandwich plate
Non egr Xantia manifold
Custom huge front mount twin pass cooler with custom tig welded cooler pipes
Custom oil catch tank
Nissens rad with twin slimline fans
Full straight through system (standard decat, stainless mid/backboxes)
Battery in boot, high gauge battery cable.
Baker BM uprated rear engine mount
Bad points:
Lot of the interior has been sprayed black and is showing its age, slowly replacing bit and bobs but headlining could do with changing
Usual ph1 paint bubbling side of sunroof.
Paintwork in ok condtion but definately not mint

Not much.
A car is only worth what someone will pay for it. You'd need to find someone that wants exactly that spec.....

Doesnt really answer my question though. Im looking for peoples opinions on value in pounds, so I can make my own judgement, not peoples philosophies on motor trading.

Difficult one to say really! The engine rebuild is a bonus to it but I'd say ball park figure to average joe who see's a few goodies probably 700-800. Of course much much more available on bits! Tbf I bet if you but it up for £1200 you'd still get plenty of interest by a enthusiast

I think if you have proof of all the work receipts and pics etc then think you get £1000 but tbh think it will be better in bits.
What are the uprated conrods? hdi rods?

Big spec, Trouble is only the derv boys would appreciate the spec list..Most people would just see it as a tuned up smokey old Peugeot! As said about about £1000-£1200 to the right buyer?

in seriousness it's going to be top end of £1000- £1100, but don't expect to be able to easily sell something like this,
plus I wouldn't worry about what it will be worth as you will always lose money on something like this.

Going to finish it and enjoy it just trying best not throw a load more money at it as eventually it will be getting swapped for something with rwd and of the perv variety

With engine 1300 to the right person who knows the effort but there isnt many out there if your that keen on sellin just break it pal, I managed to make about 3 times what your getting advised selling prices. But does take a while with all niggly bits

I think it's worth 800-900 at a push as its an old pug derv but breaking would earn you a lot mor cash but for a lot more hassle...guess the question is...are you desperate for dollar or can sit back and wait for it??

Fair play bud I have recently gone through similar scenario but I was forced to it with another conrod failure though giv me.a shout when the breaking commences n if iv got a free weekend il lend a hand
