Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE update last page sevice hist. - strictly_perv - 26-08-2013

My 205's up for sale, I'm sure I don't need to write a huge description as most of you know it.

The engine gone so will need a new one put in but its all set up and ready with over 6 months MOT still left on it.

Interior- stripped, 405 Mi16 seats fitted (very comfy and supportive) real carbon fibre top dash inserts, Compbrake short shifter (really quick, precise and mechanical feel) also has pug1off solid linkages.
Being the Dturbo it comes with the GTI dash, electric windows ect.

Chassis- generally very tidy with exellent paint, couple of little dings but it is 22 years old! Auto bonnet with the manly bulge, Rallye arches (one has a slight crack), GTI spolier, GTI valances (standard fit).
It does have a tiny rust hole by the rear seat belt clip bolt which is a really easy cheap fix and a little in the inner wing.

Suspension- 309 rear lowered beam which gives a really wide track and makes the wheels sit flush with the arches, coilovers, new wishbones with poly bushes, 266mm brakes and stops bloody well. Also has a 'quick rack' which is a PAS rack with out the ram.

Engine- well it has blown rings I think so will need a new one but it has everthing there for it so just needs plopping in. Comes with a nearly new rad.

I'd ideally like it to live on and sell it as a whole. It was a truly epic car and silly fast when it had 190bhp in a 800kg shell which embarrasses most cars.
So as it is with everything fitted I'd like £600 with the banded steels if there's no interest I will break it.

Please check my long project thread for further information and development over the 3 years I've had it.

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - strictly_perv - 26-08-2013

If I could afford it I would but I need the money now after buying the new ride

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - Piggy - 26-08-2013

I got a d8a block and hdi rods all ready Sad

how much without the banded steels?

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - strictly_perv - 26-08-2013

£500 without but you will need some to place on there as I dont have any spares

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - Piggy - 26-08-2013

they not worth more than a £100....as in, I wonder if I bough it with the bandies and then sell them on after

Is it drivable???

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - karl1989 - 26-08-2013

Can see this going for that. If I sell my bike I will have this and take engine out of the ph2

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - strictly_perv - 26-08-2013

Yes it's perfectly drivable as it had been my main car up until the engine died

I mean the engine is DEAD dead, so it needs trailering or towing away?

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - strictly_perv - 26-08-2013

Oh yeah sorry it's dead, and engines mainly stripped down but still in place so yes needs tailoring/towing.

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - Piggy - 26-08-2013

location??

is it just the rings, or the bores gone too?

RE: Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - strictly_perv - 26-08-2013

I'm not entirely sure I would recommend a new one if I'm totally honest

what do you mean??

Peugeot 205 Dturbo XUD9TE - strictly_perv - 27-08-2013

Basically, re timed engine not starting, changed pump no start, changed injectors no start. Basically severe lack of compression.
I'm located in West Sussex

He means the engine is probably foooked thus would recommend using a new, working lump.
