I was lucky with mine £6 down scrappy, not easy to get though! Good luck

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Pugmarshall - 22-08-2013

I can get a whole column at the local scrappy for £30 but need to go and see what type it is, if it's the type you need ill let you know.

I have a flat driver fitment one if you want it, not sure if its a power steering one or if it really makes any difference or not ?

RE: lower column uj for 205 - kernow_joe - 23-08-2013

Power steering are different, I'm pretty sure

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Pugmarshall - 23-08-2013

Yeah they are, there are 3 types; Ph1 PAS, Ph1/Ph1.5/Ph2 non PAS and ph1.5/2 PAS.

I may have one for sale depending if the cars getting broken or not.

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Poodle - 26-08-2013

Mine is in fact spline drive, blame niall lol. Think i've managed to source a replacement joint, as in the cross-piece with accompanying bearings, so hopefully as good as new for less than £40, failing that got plenty of options now, cheers guys! Big Grin

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Bender - 26-08-2013

Yeh I remember now, splined is power steering, flat isn't.

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Poodle - 30-08-2013

Not sure if anyone's interested, but I ended up paying £28 for a new hardy spicer cross piece and took me a couple of hours to replace the old one, well worth doing imo considering the silly prices traders want for the whole shebang.

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Daniel306 - 31-08-2013

I ended up cutting the original out and welding one from a 306 in. where did you get the new spicer?

RE: lower column uj for 205 - Poodle - 31-08-2013

Local bearing specialist ordered it in for me, 38mm x 16mm if anyone wamts to do the same.
