Fuel injectors 1.8 meridian - Keeno123 - 17-08-2013

Hi everyone, my car hasn't been serviced for almost 3 years, (bad I know) and I feel like its holding back, I'm going to do all the obvious ones, change oil/oil filter.
Fuel filter
Maybe new spark plugs??

Someone mentioned about cleaning the injectors.
Where would I start and what would I do to clean and would it make a difference.

Any help and tips to help my car back to full health would be greatfully received.

Thankyou

The cheapest and easiest (not most effective) was is to chuck some injector cleaner in the fuel tank. Redex or similar.

To get a proper job, get them ultrasonically cleaned and balanced. More priced (can equate to about £20-£30 an injector) but will make a noticeable difference.

just dont use Redex. I know others have and I have rattled on about this, but its proven to damage things long term.
use Forte injector cleaner, brilliant stuff

maybe pricey but its the dogs danglys

I've used redex in each of my 6 cars with no negative effects. What d'ya reckon it does badly? Huh

Thanks everyone, I've heard redex mentioned a few times by friends they all seem to rave about it.
Will it make an instant noticeable difference?
Thanks again

What would you recommend that I can pick up of the shelf? Cheers

Halfords sell f*ck loads of different injector cleaners and loads of other shit like that. Just get on with a service first then worry about it.
