HDi Clutch Rumble!!! - PugLover1984 - 15-08-2013

Hello again!

Car has developed a nasty rumble and vibration when the clutch is depressed. It is more pronounced when the clutch us down halfway (at least the vibration is) but is still present when the pedal is all the way down.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the clutch release bearing tbh

Do I have much time before it disintegrates?

Doubtful, and you don't want it going AWOL in there, it'll break stuff.

Get it done as soon as you can IMO

It's probably not as bad as I made out but it's definitely there. The diesel noise masks most of it!

It might not be as noisy as you made out, but it's still as bad as this:

Sometimes it'll give you weeks of warning, sometimes a few hours, the last thing you want to do is drive it unti it goes as it'll take.out other stuff with it.

When mine went it bent my release fork as it went through the diaphragm spring and then part of the diaphragm spring took a chunk out the gearbox casing!

So I would say get it done sooner than later.
