302mm discs - Niall - 09-07-2013

Does anyone (dumdum?) know if the 302s from the 307 are the same width and offset as the Gti 283s? I'd like to get some 302mm discs for my high specs but really can't be bothered making custom mounts to move the calliper over. If the 302s are right, I can just buy new mounts fom hispec

Gimmie a tick and ill find out, have a felling that they are both a couple of mm thicker and a couple of mm different offset.

Edit;
GTi6 disc height is 27mm and thickness is 22mm
302mm disc height is 34mm and thickness is 26mm

Cheers bbz. Would rather find some 300mm discs that are the right size rather than me buying bells and rotors as that is fooking expensive!

You will need to change the width of the caliper and maybe the adaptor.

I asked hi spec about it years ago, but then got put off my the increase in weight of the disc.

*cough* rep *cough*

The 302mm discs are substantially heavier. You wont find a pug fitment disc bigger than 283mm thats right for your calipers though.
