Another rear axle thread (camber) - DeeTurbo - 27-06-2013

Sorry about opening another rear axle thread.

Basically I have a bit of camber on the rear tyres, both sides. I've just had the car MOT'ed today, I had the guy have a look at the trailing arms as I tried moving them but he could not see any play. They're not making any noises, creaking, squeaking, they're not seized and move smoothly through their range of movement.

So my question is this, what is causing the camber on the rear wheel?

How much camber is there? There is a small amount as standard

Were the shocks ARB & TBs still in? If so take them out out and try the trailing arm again. You will prob find its like a flag in the wind

similar to my 205 - rear wheel had collapsed in, rubbing the arch, and was fooked. No movement at all, but when the beam was off the bearing had collapsed completely.

Not the best pics but you can see it leaning in a bit at the tops.

No, I didn't have the bars out at the time.

Yeah that sounds like my girlfriends 206. That's clunking about at the moment.

Going by that 1st pic it looks to be quite bad IMO

But it is hard to tell from a pic

Cheers Chris but I've got a spare. Going to refurb it and stick it on when I get chance. Need to do my girlfriends axle first.
