Boot lid? Why would you put them in the boot lid? Do you mean parcel shelf? Either way, don't bother, 6x9's are shit

This. 6x9s should be banned! They are purely a gimmick.
Spend your money on a good quality set of front door speakers. The sound should come from the front anyway with the rear speakers only there for rear fill.

You can do it, need to bend/cut the current speaker hole out a bit to make room and then cut the plastic cover and fit the 6x9 into the trim rather than the metal wich the old speakers fitted to.
