BMW 323ci project - declantg - 13-06-2013 Okay so thought I would start a project thread, even if only so I can track what I'm doing/ done. Bought the car for £2k with mot til feb and 2 months tax Not many plans for it, just powder coated alloys and a new head unit for now haha RE: BMW 323ci project - puglove - 13-06-2013 Not many plans............. Untill you start getting into the bmw forums lol RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 13-06-2013 Can't find a decent one :/ Also, averaging about 34mpg, not bad! RE: BMW 323ci project - Matt - 13-06-2013 34mpg? im impressed, what happened to the heavy right foot? RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 13-06-2013 Oh trust me, it's heavy BMW 6 cylinders are better miles per gallon than people assume I think RE: BMW 323ci project - ginge191 - 13-06-2013 Isn't this a 306/306related forum? Am i the only one that couldn't give a fly about the bmw/vag/mx5 threads? RE: BMW 323ci project - Matt - 13-06-2013 sweeeeet needs moar lows!! I know when i have a project/other car related project/questions, i use those dedicated forums RE: BMW 323ci project - 1616six - 13-06-2013 Ginge you've turned grumpy recently! I thought it was also about the community? & how we're all 'mates' as well? No-ones told you to do one with the 205? Uncalled for IMO.. RE: BMW 323ci project - ginge191 - 13-06-2013 + living up to the title <<<<< (13-06-2013, 12:21 PM)JJ0063 Wrote: No-ones told you to do one with the 205? It has a 306 engine; hence saying up there 306related. But apologies, let the community continue. RE: BMW 323ci project - Dum-Dum - 13-06-2013 Dec its looking smart, see if Scott will sell you his X5 wheels. No Seriously X5 snowflakes would look win. Touche sir! RE: BMW 323ci project - n0v0s - 13-06-2013 What kind of journeys are you doing to get 34mpg? Your obc will most likely be heavily optimistic. Check it out brim to brim. I'd strongly recommend checking the bushes out, especially front lollipops. Then, get the wheels off and scrub out the arches. Chances are they have already started to rust! E46 zones orite. RE: BMW 323ci project - 306carter - 13-06-2013 Always fancied one of these, had chance of a 330i but too heavy on juice. Looks well though apart from the front plate. RE: BMW 323ci project - C.A.R. - 13-06-2013 Powder coating the alloys? What colour? Please don't say black! RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 13-06-2013 Graphite or anth RE: BMW 323ci project - Niall - 13-06-2013 please paint the chrome trim around the windows black! I see the ones with chrome and for some reason, they look so much more dated! RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 13-06-2013 Yeah that's on the list of to dos mate RE: BMW 323ci project - Luhoer - 13-06-2013 it's a really nice car but PLEASE put the front number plate where it was originally makes the front look really strange RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 14-06-2013 Cheers guys, number plate is being sorted as soon as I'm not working haha What wax would you guys recommend? Want to really bring the colour out RE: BMW 323ci project - Jake - 14-06-2013 Dodo juice blue velvet... best wax ever! RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 14-06-2013 Just ordered some poor boys black hole and some megs gold class wax Fancy a detailing day soon Jake? RE: BMW 323ci project - THE_Liam - 14-06-2013 I think the number plate is there so it's more hidden when you're 14mm from the back bumper of the car in front in the outside lane... All seriousness though, looks good RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 14-06-2013 Cheers mate RE: BMW 323ci project - C.A.R. - 14-06-2013 Darker wheels will make it an instant chav chariot IMO RE: BMW 323ci project - declantg - 14-06-2013 After driving it for a bit it's usually about 27.9 mpg, which isn't THAT bad considering.. Also I'm still undecided on wheel colour :/ don't want to chav it up.. RE: BMW 323ci project - 1616six - 14-06-2013 Leave the wheels. Lose the boot spoiler, get the black mask projector style indicators to match the headlights. My favourite bit about these is how the wing mirrors fold in, it's epic how they go up! I've got bmw diagnostics dec & can turn on so it beeps when you lock and unlock it, & if it doesn't already open and close the windows if you hold lock/unlock down, I can do that too RE: BMW 323ci project - Dum-Dum - 15-06-2013 (14-06-2013, 08:51 AM)declantg Wrote: Just ordered some poor boys black hole and some megs gold class wax I'm a massive gold class fan boy but I've recently been persuaded to move up to megs ultimate however not had a chance to try it out yet. RE: BMW 323ci project - C.A.R. - 15-06-2013 Worst thing about moonstone is that it looks no different polished unless you're looking hard. Meh. My favourite wax has always been Natty's blue paste. Smells like bubblegum. Don't taste like it though, regretted that decision. |
