The steels. Sort of. - cwspellowe - 24-05-2013 Well, decided not to let my lack of a wheel stop me, and tested some colours and fitment. Got some REAL first world problems now. The size of the tyres means the ride height has gone up, not great. Also means my arch clearance has gone down, which means more choppy choppy. I'm wondering if there's a way I could extend the rear bump stops to stop the tyres hitting the arches? Is there? Anyway.. 10J rear, 9J front, colour will be Rover Charcoal Grey Metallic. Haven't painted the front yet as i'm doing it when the other arrives, but for now here's the rears fitted and the track, erm, maybe widened a wee bit ![]() Sorry about the shit pictures, won't be digging the camera out until they're all here and on... Firstly, yes that's a full sized Clubcard, not the mini keyring one. Dish much? ![]() Reliant Robin with poke, anyone? ![]() Getting some paint down ![]() Rears finished ![]() Irish-member style "fit two and take a picture" ![]() Desperately need to buy some black paint for that exhaust ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: The steels. Sort of. - Midnightclub - 24-05-2013 They definitely suit the look of the car alot more and that dish is win ![]() RE: The steels. Sort of. - vlj - 24-05-2013 Absolutely awesome, though prefer the white to be fair! RE: The steels. Sort of. - cwspellowe - 24-05-2013 White vaughn? Really? Nah I like the grey, will hopefully look badass once they're all painted and on. Yet again a courier company that's let me down though, typical. RE: The steels. Sort of. - Anton - 24-05-2013 I actually prefer the white too. RE: The steels. Sort of. - Kezzieboy - 24-05-2013 Surely they had to be matt black on this, though?! Looks sick anyway! RE: The steels. Sort of. - C.A.R. - 24-05-2013 Black hides the dish tbh, now it looks like someone nicked 3 of your old wheels and a mate with a transit has lent you some spares! RE: The steels. The metallic graphite gives them a LOT of depth in natural light, much more than the white. So what if it looks like Transit wheels anyway? RE: The steels. Sort of. - Kezzieboy - 24-05-2013 Actually, you need to do what I planned for my steels: wait for it black centres rust dish. Go on. Do it. The steels. Sort of. - THE_Liam - 24-05-2013 EPIC!!! RE: The steels. Sort of. - wil_Dtub - 24-05-2013 Not bad, my new wheels on my toy are 10j all round with an ET offset of 0 I am loving the deep dish steels, black is the right colour for them really though RE: The steels. Sort of. - Curt - 24-05-2013 Sooo much better than the XXR's RE: The steels. Sort of. - Arron - 25-05-2013 Look epic bud RE: The steels. Sort of. - Eeyore - 25-05-2013 sick. they fill the arches amazingly! RE: The steels. Sort of. - cwspellowe - 25-05-2013 I think.. and don't quote me on this.. it's getting raised... RE: The steels. Sort of. - Kezzieboy - 25-05-2013 you know what, stick some chunkier tyres on, and raise it up, could look pretty awesome! RE: The steels. Sort of. - Pete - 26-05-2013 Steels suit this car a so much more, Always said this car could work with a feux 4X4 vibe to it. |
