Driveshaft replacement - Kimmie - 09-02-2012

I've got my eye on a car, and in the advert it states the driver's side driveshaft has recently started knocking.

Does anyone know how expensive/easy it is to replace this, and can anyone here do it?

Thanks!

Had my drive shaft done on my clio cost £230 but apparantly there a nightmare to do on renaults

Re: Driveshaft replacement - Niall - 09-02-2012

Scott and *insert any of the London guys with tools* could easily do it in about an hour. Probably 30 quid for a shaft and tea and bacon costs

Tea and bacon is a given!

Well i don't mind helping with it but might need Chris tools as I don't think I have a big enough socket for the shaft nut

Sounds like you got.. wait for it... *shafted* lol

They are easy peasy they just have retaining allen key bolts which can be a pig to get to under a jack on your drive lol
