time to get the blaze engine out the garage Smile

Wouldnt mind but its smashed starter bonnet and gearbox

RE: another conrod fail - ozonehostile - 21-05-2013

why do you have a blue bumper?

RE: another conrod fail - CJ_Derv - 21-05-2013

Cos out it on last nite because a pothole took my fog and bumper out other night lol

RE: another conrod fail - ozonehostile - 21-05-2013

haha, but yeah, pretty good rod failure as they go lol

what boost was it running?

RE: another conrod fail - CJ_Derv - 21-05-2013

And only just sealed TD04 for first time last night and havent gone over 15psi or 3k so it was just unlucky had good fun in it though just got to get other block out n build it up n start over again but that engines fully balanced which I think is a big part of this problem with high revs

I think its shat the other end out the sump too too low to see for sure but sump looks like its had a missile through it

running 30psi but dont really push it much its had a good 12 month of boost tho tbh

RE: another conrod fail - Pompey306mark - 21-05-2013

Not really pushing it much? I saw you at the camping meet lol.

Unlucky time for stronger components and less boost.

RE: another conrod fail - CJ_Derv - 21-05-2013

I dont push it that was sub 5k revs haha nahh wers the fun in low boost!!

RE: another conrod fail - Tom - 21-05-2013

Has that mashed the starter right off?

RE: another conrod fail - declantg - 21-05-2013

f*ck me! What pressure did it go bang?
Think for the new engine I'm gonna just T2 it!

RE: another conrod fail - Danny2009 - 21-05-2013

I want to know how Jenks d turbo lasted

another conrod fail - Frosty - 21-05-2013

That it pretty an impressive exit. That standard rods?

RE: another conrod fail - Poodle - 21-05-2013

Revs will do 100 times more harm than boost, if you're going to leave anything out it should be the gov mod, dec.

I can't imagine you not giving a car stick CJ, can't imagine why not.... :p

RE: another conrod fail - declantg - 21-05-2013

Not to worried about the gov mod as I rarely redline it anyways,

RE: another conrod fail - Chris_90 - 21-05-2013

That thrown the rod closest to the gear box? Mine throw the one other end Undecided tbh I'm surprised it lasted that long at 30psi.

RE: another conrod fail - Dave - 21-05-2013

Welcome to the club mate, unlucky

RE: another conrod fail - CJ_Derv - 21-05-2013

12 months at 30 psi on a standard block im happy but I will be breaking the motor so gov modded pump td04 will also be for sale soon

and at point of detonation 0-3 psi setting off from lights havent boosted it for a good few weeks due to running veg as skint and then boom 148000 miles not bad really for stock engine

RE: another conrod fail - Chris_90 - 21-05-2013

Defo done well for it to last that long. Might be interested in pump depending on price inbox me

RE: another conrod fail - Dum-Dum - 21-05-2013

Thats an awesome mess it's made dude, congrats.

RE: another conrod fail - Toms306 - 21-05-2013

Lol, shits the engine after a year of being modified and people congratulate it for lasting so long.....only with an XUD haha! lol

RE: another conrod fail - CJ_Derv - 21-05-2013

Got front to back stainless exhaust FMIC setup the lots goin coilys allsorts threads to come when start breaking it

and guess what to swap insurance iver to a saxo 1.0 insurance wanted 480 cos it wasnt modded so found a back box rims and air filter for less than 60quid and its now 120 hmmm

RE: another conrod fail - puglove - 21-05-2013

Love how common this is getting, XUD's can only handle TD04 on full bore for a short time then lol

RE: another conrod fail - Matt - 21-05-2013

f*ck me side ways! Almost as impressive as the rallyes twin exiting Conrod haha

RE: another conrod fail - CJ_Derv - 22-05-2013

I think one has exited on cam side too thru sump tbh will get some damage pics up when get engine out
