Mostly fabrication work left to do now like the battery box and bucket seat frames, it's time to get some trim back on over the next few days like bumpers and lights etc :-D

You change the title nearly as often as you buy a new car! lmao

Nearly there though, ready to boost again soon!

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - Piggy - 24-10-2013

I already had suggested that....

not enough room Sad

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - ozonehostile - 24-10-2013

Yeah an xud11 just about fits in a 306 bay, 205 with a few custom parts is possible too. There's a few Dutch xud11 205s....

Just no way you could physically fit the xud11 lump in tg the front of a 106 without serious modifications, something that would be pointless as for the time and money you'd have to spend would be much better spent building an epic 1600 engine which imo is the perfect thing in a 106

But that's not what I'm up to.
All will be revealed in good time ;-)

Lexan windows ready to go in after a trip to Oxford. Cheers Blandy!

On with the weight saving, side windows front and rear and boot lid glass all to be replaced

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - ozonehostile - 24-11-2013

Been busy getting the estate through its mot, that and the lack of light in the evenings has made it harder but still, been doing little odds and ends on the car.

Love this pic. [Image: IMG_20131123_184313_zps6157b08b.jpg]

So whats on it now?

Engine bay is done, just got to put clamps on the boost pipes and get a nipple welded on for the boost compensation somewhere. Going to start putting bumpers and trim pieces back on over the week then it's time to fit the seats, plastic windows etc

Still the truck turbo, if it dies il buy another one, maybe go for a compound setup with a Gt15 or something. I dunno, just want to drive it before I start taking things to pieces again

Can completely understand that one! Somehow I don't think my 205's going to be ready for the weekend.. Censored

If it does blow up I've always got the rallye to play with while the truck tub undergoes another overhaul

Lol, another overhaul.. Blush

Least it's in a tidier shell now!

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - ozonehostile - 21-12-2013

small progress update; well not really progress as i havnt done anything for weeks Sad

but whats left to do anyway

1. Find a bend the right angle to fit around the chassis leg for the intercooler pipework
2. refit front and rear bumpers, lights, grill, rubstrips, wipers etc
3. empty all the parts out of the car and fit seats
4. fit rear braided brake hoses and bleed brakes
5. top up oil, coolant and gear oil
6. fit lexan windows
7. lower it again to compensate for all the weight shedding
8. give it a drive and hope for the best

been putting off doing anything as im waiting to hear about the move in date on a new workshop with lights, heating and best of all a two poster ramp Smile be alot more motivated to work on the car if it doesn't have to be in a freezing cold garage by torchlight

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - Piggy - 21-12-2013

Get on with it you pansy

lol, what the heck is that pic all about?

A heated garage with a ramp is the dream mate, I can't even fit my car in my garage so stuck working outside - well I can just about but I have to take everything else out :p

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - ozonehostile - 21-12-2013

Lol, Doesn't really help motivation constantly having to fix my estate, but it's sorted now (touch wood) so on with the booster :-D

RE: Project Truck Turbo MkII, nearly on the road - Tom - 22-12-2013

I want a garage with a ramp Sad You lucky sod
