Brake fitment - Scott_GT - 14-05-2013 I have a x reg 1.9 L diesel. Will gti 6 calipers fit straight on? RE: Brake fitment - Mattcheese31 - 14-05-2013 yes, but you may need to use spring washers to space the calliper bolts out as the hubs are sometimes different and you'll need 15" wheels also . ![]() RE: Brake fitment - Scott_GT - 15-05-2013 Are the Gti breaks defiantly bigger than what I have? As I checked euro parts and the same calipers came up on both vehicles???? Re: Brake fitment - aggyj17 - 15-05-2013 Gti brakes are definitely bigger the disc size on yours atm are 247mm on your car and 283mm on gti brakes. So just a little bit bigger ![]() RE: Brake fitment - londondan86 - 16-05-2013 The difference is night and day though, a well worthwhile upgrade. As Matt said though you may need the bolts as well. RE: Brake fitment - puglove - 16-05-2013 Do the master cylinder aswell though RE: Brake fitment - londondan86 - 16-05-2013 (16-05-2013, 08:22 PM)puglove Wrote: Do the master cylinder aswell though I never bothered but it is supposed to give a more progressive feel to the pedal but I found it fine without |
