Step 1. MTFU Step 2. MTFU some more, and just do it already. Saw it on eBay but phoned them direct. JJCrally or something. Really helpful, got it next day with free postage. I'm not massively sure on how to fit it, but I'll stumble through it and take plenty of pics. No aircon obviously, think I've twin fans so I might remove one and mount there. See what works I guess Newest addition to the Rallye - Jonny b - 03-02-2012 Ha ha I think I need n oil heater at the mo not a cooler!! Car is taking an age to warm up at the moment Looks good though bud Re: Newest addition to the Rallye - Ed Doe - 03-02-2012 Ian Wrote:Saw it on eBay but phoned them direct. JJCrally or something. Aaah nice one ![]() I found this guide on the '6 forum for people who want to keep both fans: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=144293 Just looked over it again, and it appears he's used wire to fix it to the inside of the bumper; not sure I wanna do it that way; I think I'll be using the brackets on the bottom of thecrossmember just under the fan unit, and mounting it that way.. Not sure yet; no doubt I'll work something out when I give it a go. Either that or I'll give up and just go with the wire method in the end after much swearing!!! ![]() Re: Newest addition to the Rallye - Ian - 03-02-2012 I saw that guide too. Dont think ill be using wire to hold mine on either... Although there was two cable ties in the box... ![]() Re: Newest addition to the Rallye - Ed Doe - 03-02-2012 Ian Wrote:I saw that guide too. Might crack on with it today despite the driveway still being covered in the cold stuff. Re: Newest addition to the Rallye - Dum-Dum - 08-02-2012 Ian Id clear the snow first and get a mat to work on mate ED stop being such a f*cking pansy, MTFU, my missus could fit an oil cooler Re: Newest addition to the Rallye - Ian - 08-02-2012 Well it's all done. Didn't bother with a mat. Cold floor FTW. Got tons of cuts on hands due to radiator being made out of razors. And surprisingly the car was harder than I thought, I managed to break some tools on it! Pics to follow when my hands thaw out Re: Newest addition to the Rallye - Ian - 08-02-2012 Oh and I haven't refitted the bumper yet. Need to check for leaks tomorrow.
