Renault sport Brembo callipers - Niall - 28-03-2013

Thinking about some of these before FCS this year. Generally regarded to not squeal like a bitch but obviously not direct fit. Does anyone know where i can get some adaptors from? What Discs are to be used with them?

Ash on the 6 forum did the kits so I am sure he could get what you need.

Think they use the bells and rotors from hi spec I believe.

Though that's a guess from what I read on the 6 forum.

Cool Smile
If possible, would prefer a set of willwoods or midlites but obviously rarer and hold their value more. There is a full willwood setup on ebay at the moment but they want over £500 for it!

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Pompey306mark - 28-03-2013

Worth it. My hi specs were £250 but are £700 brand new.

The cost of getting the Brembo's to fit and then the bells and rotors you will be over that figure anyway

ive just bought some tarox midlites, full set up, ready to bolt on for 380...

I thought thatits an expensive outlay, but they'll hold their price

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Pompey306mark - 28-03-2013

They will always be expensive compared to standard 6 brakes, but you will see why the first time and every time you brake after that.

I know people mock me for pointing out the kits and saying they are a million times better, but that's because they are. Anyone who has been in my car will say the same once I brake.

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Niall - 28-03-2013

Sean where did you get them from mate?

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Pompey306mark - 28-03-2013

Renault sport calipers £250 +
Rotors are like £100 + each
Bells I can't remember off the top of my head but not cheap.
Then the mounting kits or getting some made.
Brake lines.
Pads

Might as well spend £500 and know all that has been sorted.

I like mine I can use 6 discs pads are only £50 a pop.

Cheap to buy and replace parts.

ebay...kinda hoping they turn up tbh. seller didnt fill me with lots of confidence!

Mine will use 6 disks. but unsure on what pads :/

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Niall - 28-03-2013

Fair enough. Will put some money aside and keep an eye out for some then. Would like some before fcs.

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Pompey306mark - 28-03-2013

Set of hi specs on eBay but over £500 but I am sure he is lying in his post as the calipers look like the older ones.

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Niall - 28-03-2013

the saxo ones? yeah no way they are only a month old!

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Pompey306mark - 29-03-2013

Yea I know, "just bought a month ago for £1200" then next line "came off a saxo race car we are breaking for parts"

Would fit straight on though.

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Niall - 29-03-2013

yeah im tempted to email him and say ill give you £400 for the lot. Would still need new lines though i think .

RE: Renault sport Brembo callipers - Pompey306mark - 29-03-2013

Less than that, they are the older calipers.
