new guy on the block - thomson - 27-03-2013

hey guys new to this forum, have just bought my first gti6, and I love it! my first car was a 1998 1.4 meridian and I loved that car until some evil nasty b*****d hit me at 60 and wrote it off so I bought a 2010 seat leon 1.4 tsi and it is still a great car, but I got offered this gti6 for a steal and couldn't resist so with a month of it being on the road I have spent alot of money on it including gettin it resprayed and fixing all the usual stuff that goes wrong I.e. cooling fans, rear demister and so on. so with a long list of parts waiting to be bought and fitted she should be finished of within the year and eating most things on the road and track.

Welcome!

What have you got replacing your fog lights??

RE: new guy on the block - Matt - 27-03-2013

Welcome along mate Smile looks nice

RE: new guy on the block - Eeyore - 27-03-2013

those harnesses wont do anything a crash. Either run standard belts on standard seats or run buckets with harnesses!

If you crash youll go forward and the back of the seat will collapse. Bearing in mind its designed to fold forward as well there is only that mechanism keeping it upright!

Nice car though.... just the most dangerous harness setup i have ever seen!

RE: new guy on the block - Piggy - 27-03-2013

looks sweet!

RE: new guy on the block - thomson - 04-04-2013

the harness was just for the pic I don't run them on the road waiting for my new seats to arrive don't worry lol, the fog lights have just been painted over at the moment because they where all corroded on the reflectors so until I get either new fogs or blanking plates then painted will do lol and changed the morettes because they had wiring issues (as I've seen with alot of morettes) and I needed indicator lenses

RE: new guy on the block - Piggy - 04-04-2013

yeah it's a zag it's splitter but you need 2 (which I do have) but can't decide if I want it split at the sides or try to smooth them together. wanted something different rather than the Laguna splitter
