electronic boost controller - dan wiltshire - 22-03-2013

Anyone have one?? Worth getting? Does turning the boost up to 28psi make a bigg gain or any gain?

I wouldn't touch the boost until you get an intercooler as you'll just melt the turbo with really high exhaust temperatures without one.

Im not sure they will work as they need a vacuum?!

28psi on the stock hdi turbo, be lucky if it last longer than 30 seconds

They rely on a solenoid valve between the boost feed to the actuator, so it stops the actuator receiving boost pressure until the electronic controller allows it. So if you unplug it, itll just run stock boost pressure..

But doesnt work great with diesels, soon as they get to any decent performance level, they usually blow the wastegate open, so you have to tension the actuator anyway...
