That's because you've done it wrong mate, they're easy to remove and if done right they'll go back on again good as new Wink

I just buzz the fixings lightly with a drill bit to break the bond, the tips of the fixings are only melted slightly to hold the badge on. Takes seconds to get the badge off using this method and no damage...........ever Wink

RE: bonnet badge (simples question) - Oil-burner - 19-03-2013

^^thats how I did mine

RE: bonnet badge (simples question) - Eeyore - 19-03-2013

hmmm maybe mine was particularly well stuck D: I drilled all the sprews, used a flat blade and ended up bending the outer surround and the lions arm snapped off D:

RE: bonnet badge (simples question) - Oil-burner - 19-03-2013

I pushed mine out by the "sprews" with a thin screwdriver

RE: bonnet badge (simples question) - gareth7 - 20-03-2013

^ this.....if you try prising it from the front you run the risk of the lion's tail snapping off or one of it's 'arms' (although I've never seen a lion with arms lol)

I'm keeping quiet about the chrome edging trim and how I remove it, don't want to give too much away Wink

Maybe not mate but I do quite well out of custom badges......let's just say it involves a concave blade stanley knife blade.
