HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - SonnyRoby - 11-03-2013 It's a xud9 ph2 with big hybrid turbo, fmic, 11mm head, oil cooler. Changed few headgaskets, new head and skimmed and everything. The temp stays at 80 degrees. After a bit of coaling, the coolant level light comes on while running slowly at 2000rpms, a bit of revving and the light goes off. There's water coming out from the coolant reservoir cap. Could it be the cap that makes such a huge difference in letting the pressure out of the system? RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - CJ_Derv - 12-03-2013 Has it been bled properly? Sometimes cap can let coolant out, as they do have a little pressure as coolant is mixed with water which naturally expands with heat, also is the heaters hot? I replaced a few head gaskets on blaze and found the matrix was blocked and caused each gasket to blow due to bad circulation RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - SonnyRoby - 12-03-2013 It's been properly beld. Heaters hot and the heater matrix is conected. RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - devils_fuel - 12-03-2013 have you pressure tested the cap to see if its holding pressure or just letting water out after its expanded? Might be worth a few £'s to buy anew cap ?? RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - Piggy - 12-03-2013 sounds like one of three things... air lock rad cap water pump internal failure RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - SonnyRoby - 12-03-2013 Looks like its the head gasket again. I think the head wasn't skimmed well so doing it again. RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - Piggy - 12-03-2013 just an fyi... a friend had similar issue with a xud xantia...turned out to be the head...there was a run of dodgy heads...get it pressure tested RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - CJ_Derv - 16-03-2013 Did you have it pressure tested last time you did the head a lot of people try to save money by leaving this important process RE: HELP! Pressure in the cooling system - SonnyRoby - 20-03-2013 So it actually was the head. It was blowing through the pre-chambers. Now is runing fine. Had some problems with a stuck injector. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWOJvmVhFJM&feature=youtu.be |
