gti6 master cylinder swap - chippyba - 04-03-2013

hi guys
i know theres a different bore between the gti6 n the standard 1.9 td master cylinder but does it brake any better or not
ive got discs front n rear (front gti6 set up)
n if there is
is there a easier way to change it without bleeding every corner

any info will be most helpful

Imo defo need to change it....
along with some decent 5.1 brake fluid and the pedal will feel epic!

...and no...need to bleed it all...but use it as a chance to put some decent fluid in it

It doesn't make the brakes any better but it does make them feel a lot better. Well worth it considering how cheap and easy to change they are.

unless you are phase win with no ABS and they don't fit . . .Smile

Confused I fitted one to mine easily enough.

Edit : Forget that, didn't read your comment correctly!

I've got abs is it gona piss it up or is it stupidy simple to swap ??

RE: gti6 master cylinder swap - Ben - 05-03-2013

Stupidly simple to swap. I think you just undo two brake lines, then undo two nuts and its off. Then opposite to fit new one. Think theres an O-ring remember to check thats there or re-use old one.
