Revived; TMIC cooling options - ginge191 - 22-02-2013 So i need cooling for the 205, i was looking at bonnet lining, but had a look at a 205 and 306 lining and both seem to be, well, 'meh' is about all i can say, so need alternative cooling... I was looking at using a SMIC for the setup, found one from a pajero and thought in total, it has about the same cooling capacity as a TMIC, yes it's deeper, but our's are wider. I've got a couple of pics, any sort of photoshops would be awesome, as subtle as possible please all attempts repped! http://sphotos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/384369_10152169271160632_231056088_n.jpg http://media.fastcar.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/modified_peugeot_205_gti_1.6_11.jpg RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - declantg - 22-02-2013 Massive FMIC? ![]() RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - cwspellowe - 22-02-2013 ![]() ![]() HTH ![]() RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - Matt - 22-02-2013 ![]() RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - cwspellowe - 22-02-2013 You could even try the old desk fan approach? ![]() Or failing that, stop being cheap and go for one of these. ![]() A Zoom for the hamster that lives in your engine bay /trolololol RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - Piggy - 22-02-2013 are you thinking simple scooby scoop?? It'll work a bit, but the major of the air will just skip over the top RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - puglove - 03-03-2013 Nah you dont know what your talking about lol RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - samass - 03-03-2013 Nah, I do a bit RE: Photoshop - bonnet scoop, no, seriously.. - puglove - 04-03-2013 May be a little . Bit if you stick your hand out the window and flap it about abit that will direct tye air into the hole. Gigity. (thats hand out the window not cock) RE: Revived; TMIC cooling options - ginge191 - 19-07-2013 Ok, so i'm reviving this with a slightly different title. I'm noticing BAD heat soak and related boosting issues with the lack of cooling to the TMIC. Possibly a bonnet lining would suffice? but would prefer an alternative; i know the scoops are an option; a grinder and a vent isn't too hard to install, but visually a bit gash. I understand that a couple of mist jets could be of use also; but how much do they/can they actually cool the TMIC. Any other ideas would be awesome! |
