RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - 4WayDiablo - 14-02-2013 I don't think I've been alive that long! Let alone own a 306 for that long! RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Just Sean - 14-02-2013 your hair has deffiantly been around for that long! RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - 4WayDiablo - 14-02-2013 Foyc! Longest I have owned a car by 6 years I think, 6 years of ownership of the HDI - kentiiboii - 14-02-2013 Longest car I've owned was my old hdi. Just before it died I was saying how well it's done and never let me down. Goes without saying. RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Niall - 14-02-2013 Longest car ive had is the skoda at 1 year and 10 months but longest car i have owned is the 106 at 18 months. God i miss that car ![]() RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - procta - 14-02-2013 every car i have owned hasnt been a bother like tbh. i havent remapped it either just gave it a Decat/de EGR and a K&N filter. topped off with yellow stuff pads turbo grove discs and a fifth alloy, rounded off nicely with a GTI6 splitter and wind deflectors. i think i need to under seal the car this year, possible new suspention and exhaust. we will have to see what the mot tester says 1st. not sure if i should remap her tbh, as i have the rover metro thats fast. 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Jonny b - 14-02-2013 Ill never get rid of mine!! It'll just be a toy . No point getting rid I'd get fook all for it! Don't think I could part with it tbh RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - procta - 14-02-2013 (14-02-2013, 07:46 PM)Jonny b Wrote: Ill never get rid of mine!! It'll just be a toy . Don't think I could part with it tbh iam the same jonny, id get shot of the metro over the 306. iam debt free for once in 8 years. iam just going to try and save some cash to one side and get on the property ladder. with me living at home with the rents iam able to save some cash. RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Jonny81191 - 14-02-2013 I'd 100% go for a stage 1 remap. There are literally NO downsides ![]() RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - procta - 14-02-2013 (14-02-2013, 07:54 PM)Jonny81191 Wrote: I'd 100% go for a stage 1 remap. There are literally NO downsides i have been toying with the idea, thought about intercooling it aswell. only thing is it mite bump the insurance up as i have already got a quick car. RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Jonny81191 - 14-02-2013 Nah stuff the intercooler, as you say, you already have a "toy". The stage 1 is just a must do on these cars IMO, improves MPG, power, driveability (IMO), just feels generally better. RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - C2K - 14-02-2013 8 years for me in a few weeks time. 180k despite spending over 2 years out the country lol. Never been any hassle really, i'm quite meticulous with looking after her. RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Strikeforce - 14-02-2013 Kept my hdi for almost 2 years before letting her go to my mate Twas a sad day indeed when he drove her away but the upsid is i still get to sit in it a couple of times a week lol RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Pompey306mark - 14-02-2013 Not sure if mine will last to 8 yrs. it's beginning to bug me and stuff is not going well enough to get rid yet anyway RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Toms306 - 14-02-2013 Longest car I ever owned was the epic China 1.4......a whole 10 months! ![]() Joint second at 9 months each was the silver golf and ph2 1.4. So judging by that....the most reliable car must be a 1.4 306... ![]() RE: 6 years of ownership of the HDI - samass - 14-02-2013 Christ, I don't even think anyone in my family had had a car that long! 6 years of ownership of the HDI - Jtrigga - 14-02-2013 I've had mine 4 years theres been so many times I've wanted to get rid but always fixed it again just spent the last 2 days changing the axle and making new brake lines. |
