Stu's (Ruan's (and Vaughan's (and Jonnys))) HDi Estate - vlj - 12-02-2013 HDi estate, 150k, good stuff. Took the train up to Woking after a night shift to meet Scott. Untitled by 306ep, on Flickr The first of 3 trips through this tunnel for the weekend. Hindhead Tunnel by 306ep, on Flickr Within 2 hours of the car being back home, we hit it with the lowering stick. Untitled by 306ep, on Flickr It wasn't long before Scott just gave up though.. Untitled by 306ep, on Flickr The next morning we set off at 6.30am to go back up to Scott's Untitled by 306ep, on Flickr A massive Costco trolley was definitely required for these.. Big boost is coming, I'll be fitting my fmic in 2 weekends and going stage 2 map, then in the Easter holidays the new turbo is going in and job done all good. RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - londondan86 - 12-02-2013 Another nice estate on the forum, good work chap! RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - 4WayDiablo - 12-02-2013 sorry... scotts estate? Well, over the weekend that I brought it - I didn't actually get to drive it, whilst Scott racked up 350 miles or so.. so we came to the realisation it may as well actually be his. Yeah. RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - C2K - 12-02-2013 Looks like a good base to start with. Something always satisfying about a new car that needs a bit of TLC. Audi going or is that a different guy? RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - Scott - 12-02-2013 It's a really tidy car to be honest. It needs a few things doing like the wishbones, but on the whole it was pretty damn cheap! Very good purchase It was hilarious picking it up though and thinking the heater matrix was f*cked, driving home for around 45 minutes freezing our balls off inside the car, then after a moment of playing with the dials the heat started coming through! Oh, and the random STOP light that came on after we'd lowered it, thoroughly confusing us. Found out the next morning that it only came on when the air con button was pressed on! Yep the Audi went a few weeks ago (12-02-2013, 08:07 PM)Scott Wrote: It's a really tidy car to be honest. It needs a few things doing like the wishbones, but on the whole it was pretty damn cheap! You just reminded me I need to sort the wishbones.. and now the matrix works on full power (does sound like its trying to take off), such a good weekend and of course a massive thanks for taking me to get it and helping out! RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - Scott - 12-02-2013 That's not the only time he's referred to it as mine either You were there but you weren't there lowering it in the cold Has anyone noticed how the main photos of the car with work being done are with me sat in the wheel arch and Vaughan just taking photos? RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - Kimmie - 12-02-2013 Touche! I was clever! Also, didn't you pay like a grand for that Citroën just last week? . How come you're getting rid already? And if you haven't done already, check that rear arch for rust lol, especially on 150k! RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - Scott - 12-02-2013 This is how I'm reading your posts now Tom RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - Niall - 12-02-2013 Sold it yet? No! And I won't be, pinky promise. For once it's actually a tidy car that I'm happy with - I LOVE the economy, and my insurance is so cheap on it even with mods declared that I couldn't really say no. It's a comfortable drive, I'm sticking with it. That and I can fit all my shit in it, it's fantastic. I did say 'well I'm only being optimistic', but now I think about it I should of gone for the year! Lol! I did actually buy the Picasso, it wasn't a joke. The Scenic died so me and my mum went out and I bought the Picasso for her, so yeah I do actually have one. I bought the HDi prior to that though! There's no rust in the arch, not even a hint of rust - quite pleased really As Scott said it's a very tidy shell, there's a crack in the rear bumper but I'll either find a replacement or filler it and repaint. RE: My (Scott's) HDi estate. - C.A.R. - 13-02-2013 Nice. What's with the Instagram-afication of every single bloody photograph though?! Gawdamnit.
