Electrical cable question - Willo - 01-02-2013 What cable do I need to sort my door looms out I know I need insulated single core copper cable but what width by this I mean 0.5mm 1.0mm Etc etc RE: Electrical cable question - Niall - 01-02-2013 1.0 Mm multi strand cable. Sounds right don't it Correct ![]() RE: Electrical cable question - Willo - 01-02-2013 Thank you for the quick answer and advice RE: Electrical cable question - ozonehostile - 02-02-2013 what niall said, multicore is also easier to solder ![]() on that note, when your soldering, before you insulate the wire up again, be sure to clean the flux residue from your solder joint as flux will corrode solder weakening the joint, eventually it will break again if you don't. nailvarnish remover and a cotton bud is ideal way to remove flux RE: Electrical cable question - Willo - 02-02-2013 Thanks for the tip mate ill do that Is it just on the bit I solder or the surrounding area ? |
