XU is the taller range of petrol engines like GTi6's (XU10J4RS), 205 GTi's (XU7/9) etc RE: Xud fitment - ozonehostile - 27-01-2013 (27-01-2013, 12:24 AM)Willo Wrote: Thanks guys wonder if any of them are cheaper to buy a Bosch pump for hmmmm check rovers for bosch pumps, the lda pin in bosch pumps on rover engines has a better shape curve. just ask around your local scrappys/breakers about bosch pump prices, prices depend on if they know what there worth or not, you could be lucky if your local is clueless and pick up a pump with all the lines and injectors for £30 RE: Xud fitment - Willo - 27-01-2013 Is it the old shape rover 200 not the bubble shaped ones Also how do I tell if its a Lucas of a Bosch by looking at them ??? RE: Xud fitment - ozonehostile - 27-01-2013 bosh has the "ufo" shape cap with the lda pin inside, lucas pumps have no distinguishing features, just looks like a bunch of pipes going into a block RE: Xud fitment - Willo - 27-01-2013 This is a Lucas ay it ? ![]() RE: Xud fitment - ozonehostile - 27-01-2013 pictures from ash23 old project lucas pump http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy74/yamahamajesty/sfff013.jpg bosch pump http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy74/yamahamajesty/2012-07-08161508.jpg RE: Xud fitment - Willo - 27-01-2013 Got ya sound thank you mate much appreciated RE: Xud fitment - ozonehostile - 27-01-2013 if your resorting to scrapyards for a bosch, peugeot 405's are the best to check for bosch pumps as it seems the overwhelmingt majority of 306's in scrappys are phase 2 with lucas units RE: Xud fitment - Pugmarshall - 27-01-2013 But make sure it's not a semi-ECU type if it's in a 406. They're quite obvious though. RE: Xud fitment - Willo - 27-01-2013 Ok I'll keep me eye out when I'm next at the scrappy not something I'm desperate for just on the to get list RE: Xud fitment - samass - 29-01-2013 Just to say, the TUD4 and 5 that are in 106s / Saxon/ axs are based on the TU petrol engines. The TUD5 is the same block as the TU6 gti engine, just with a different head and stroke and pistons obviously. Completely unrelated the the XU series. RE: Xud fitment - Dum-Dum - 29-01-2013 The XUD was also fitted to some TATA 4x4 iirc Samass is right about the TUD4 and TUD5 they are based on the TU petrol lumps Just like the XUD is based on the XU petrol engines. RE: Xud fitment - Ruan - 29-01-2013 People also often get very confused about NA Lucas pumps, people assume that ALL Bosch VE pumps have the UFO on top which is untrue... ![]() ^^ For example... RE: Xud fitment - ozonehostile - 29-01-2013 it took me a while to realize what i was looking at when i found a nad citroen at the scrappy with the topless bosch |
