Mehhh

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Dicky - 21-01-2013

I'd rather a big boosted XUD leaving one behind up hills

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - GTI 6 - 21-01-2013

Don't put that thing in there belong in the Hondas lol

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - bigcheez2k3 - 21-01-2013

Plenty of room for a turbo in there Wink

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - ozonehostile - 21-01-2013

all the lag in the world without the turbo. but still, quite a nicely done conversion, just a shame about the loose wires everywhere

Hmm...

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - ozonehostile - 21-01-2013

^^^^ what is this?

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Jenkosowls - 21-01-2013

There's a few projects kicking around atm and two different approaches as to which way the engine sits

Come on, do a little research!!!

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Pugmarshall - 21-01-2013

lol it's a K20 in a 306.

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Ruan - 21-01-2013

^^ This.

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - ozonehostile - 21-01-2013

aww dammit, i was nearly there with my research haha

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - stu9 - 21-01-2013

Ok if you like reving the nackers of an engine....personally I cant be arsed, I had a 1.8Vtec for about a yr, good car but to revy

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Pugmarshall - 21-01-2013

Not sure it's what I'd put in a 306, out of all the non-PSA engines out there, though.

Daihatsu CB-20 FTMFW!!!

And that's exactly what I love doing. Nothing like working an engine, especially one that actually likes to be revved Big Grin

Daihatsu CB-20 FTMFW!!!

you have some very strange ideas lol

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Pugmarshall - 21-01-2013

Mate! They do a turbo'd one with 68hp @ the flywheel!

well, that changes everything haha

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Arron - 22-01-2013

Don't hate on the k20 man!! Awesome engines, sound crazy on vtec plus general reliability is good.. it looks to have a little more room in the 306 than the civic.

Saying that I'm use to a lads civic that lives near me and that's had a k100 ecu and remapped to 229bhp, vtec comes in at 5000rpm too. Rev limiters been raised to 9100rpm. Monster

Not my preferred power delivery but I have lots of respect

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Rippthrough - 22-01-2013

VTEC's, VTEC's everywhere!

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - 4WayDiablo - 22-01-2013

Doesn't pug1off have a rear engined 205? The pugonda?

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - procta - 22-01-2013

seen a few vtec convertions, more of a favourite in minis, only trouble is minis cannot seem to get the power down.
id have thought that a supercharged gti 6 lump would have been better?

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Dum-Dum - 22-01-2013

Theres a 306 on the bay with a Hayabusa engine in the back.

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - 4WayDiablo - 22-01-2013

Linky? Can't seem to find it

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - ozonehostile - 22-01-2013

motorbike engines in cars sound nice but i dont see the point really. think about how much a car weighs in comparison to a bike. any gains in acceleration you could potentially have gained by using a high revving bike engine are instatly lost because of all the added weight of having to haul the weight of a car along. ive driven bike engined minis and a 205 and youd be surprised how slow they actually are. feels fast because of the awesome noise but thats about it. unless its twin bike engines and an ultra light car then its a whole different story Big Grin

RE: V-TEC Engined 306 - Matt - 22-01-2013

Can't stand vtec lol. If civics came with xuds....
