I seriously do think it handles better than eds car which im sure he wont be happy about considering the amount hes spent on suspension! "because 1.8s are better" blah feckin blah ![]() ![]() on a less trollin note (strange for OC i know) Looking pretty schweet again grant. And its really well spec'd now aswell, loving all your handling mods. Handling before powa FTW RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Niall - 03-09-2012 (03-09-2012, 08:31 PM)puglove Wrote:(03-09-2012, 04:25 PM)Niall Wrote: tbh its epic. I seriously do think it handles better than eds car which im sure he wont be happy about considering the amount hes spent on suspension! actually i was talking about handling but yeah that as well ![]() RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Grant - 03-09-2012 Haha cheers Jamie. Have you got your mounts on yet? Such a win! Handling wise, its just re-fit upper brace (needs new holes drilling for eccentric top mounts) get trailing arms cambered, and get a cage welded in. Soo many smiles per gallon RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Poodle - 04-09-2012 Think Jamie meant the 1.8 engine is better suited to the 306 chassis with regards to weight-distribution etc. Looking tidy dude, you driven it in the wet with that camber yet? ![]() RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Niall - 04-09-2012 (04-09-2012, 09:50 AM)Poodle Wrote: Think Jamie meant the 1.8 engine is better suited to the 306 chassis with regards to weight-distribution etc. Don't tell dum dum that. Before you know it he will be running his with a 1.1 TU engine for weight saving y0! RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Ed Doe - 04-09-2012 Niall you can't say it handles better than mine when you haven't been in mine! ![]() and blahblah 1.8 blah. until someone actually does (not just talks about) something interesting with 1.8s it's irrelevant; booooooring! Ed I've been in your car you spastic. And ed, me and you will be having chats on friday about what I'm doing this weekend ![]() RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Ed Doe - 04-09-2012 (04-09-2012, 12:46 PM)Niall Wrote: Ed I've been in your car you spastic. And ed, me and you will be having chats on friday about what I'm doing this weekend Are there two identical adenoidally-challenged Ed's on this forum? Or am I so special I get referred to by name twice in the same post? ![]() When have you been in my car?! I forget?! Srsly, I'm almost certain you've never been in it. Grant has, but only in the wet with a *cough*unplugged *cough* TPS... And yes we need to discuss this clearly ![]() RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Niall - 04-09-2012 Oh ed yes you are special....in a very spasticated way! You took me out in the non shortened 306 just after you got it round the roads near you. RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Ruan - 04-09-2012 Except they're a better engine too... Shorter throw crank, lower mean piston speed, loves to rev, ally block with damp liners... Bloody perfect RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - Ed Doe - 04-09-2012 (04-09-2012, 01:09 PM)Niall Wrote: Oh ed yes you are special....in a very spasticated way! REALLY??! I do not remember this.... Unless.... I think I remember; it was on the '6 rear beam though; handles WAY better on the VTS beam, specially with the GAZ dampers. :\ Which means it didnt happen. Which means my car still handles better than Grants. Mostly cause it has the correct engine... /canofworms RE: China XS, Shed to shiner - puglove - 04-09-2012 (03-09-2012, 09:12 PM)Niall Wrote: actually i was talking about handling but yeah that as well I refur you to the quote below, this man knows what im talking about (04-09-2012, 09:50 AM)Poodle Wrote: Think Jamie meant the 1.8 engine is better suited to the 306 chassis with regards to weight-distribution etc. (03-09-2012, 09:27 PM)Grant Wrote: Haha cheers Jamie.
