RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 18-11-2013 Lots of movement with this coming up soon! hooray ![]() ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Grant - 18-11-2013 Are you running a billet one at the moment then? RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 18-11-2013 I got a standard rubber one in the bottom and apparently a solid fork bush. So this should tighten it up nicely ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Grant - 18-11-2013 It will be horrific with the solid fork bush. I had billet in both, on my XSI and i hated it. The mrs loved it however ![]() Both is too much IMO. I could only make an un-educated guess as to what it would be like on a derv. But at a stab, worse than a perf? RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 18-11-2013 Probably worse then! Im even more excited now aha! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 19-11-2013 Back to losing water at a much more reasonable rate! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 19-11-2013 A rad looks exactly how you imagine but I took pictures of the nifty slimline fitting kit :p ![]() ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Jimbo - 19-11-2013 U never used those fitting kits? There awesome RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 19-11-2013 Yeah used one once before but they're awesome! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - silverzx - 20-11-2013 Usually use cable ties myself.. For everything.. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 20-11-2013 I do keep a pack in the car just in case ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Curt - 20-11-2013 I think that exhaust looks good ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 20-11-2013 Sounds good to ![]() ![]() This weird little thing broke of yesterday whilst changing the rad. Apparently its some kind of earth point. Commonly break on the 205's so I just cut it off and put ring terminals on there and covered them in grease, all sorted now. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 Right did something stupid today... and i washed the car. ![]() Wait for it... ![]() ![]() Yep inside the car. Dont worry its only temporary til i get a longer length of fuel hose. But i got impatient. Also have a transit pump on the way for making awesomeness. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Chris_90 - 21-11-2013 Epic! ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 You can see why the car doesnt like it, i have been driving for about 45minutes before i put that pipe in and i fired it up and the pipe went proper cold with the fuel going through it :/ RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Paul_13 - 21-11-2013 Notice a difference with the fuel banjo ;P I found it made a massive difference on mine RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 I'm going for a drive this evening, hoping for some 3rd gear wheelspin aha ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - strictly_perv - 21-11-2013 What have you done along the lines with the primer and the fuel filter? As they are still at stock diameter. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 I dont have a primer nor a fuel filter... Im just having some fun atm. Like i said i got impatient and just stuck it on! I have a primer on the way, but fuel filter im a but stuck with, trying to find a landy fuel filter housing (for a reasonable price) that i can mount either in the bay or under the car with a big spin on filter. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - strictly_perv - 21-11-2013 Ah fair one. Be careful running it de filtered! The cars 22 years old and that tank isn't going to be clean! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 Im running mostly unused or 1micron filtered veg atm so not overly worried about it, i had a check over the strainer aswell before i done it and that was clean as a whistle and alot finer than the one in a 306! And i guess if the pump does die i'll have to repair it from bits of this transit one i have here... ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Paul_13 - 21-11-2013 Why don't you go for the filteriI've got? RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 (21-11-2013, 06:52 PM)Paul_13 Wrote: Why don't you go for the filteriI've got? Because i read the small print and it says its 120micron and IMO its not worth having. Most oem filters are around 5 micron. Like i said above i filter my veg down to 1 micron cold, so 120 is about enough to catch chips with lol! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Chris_90 - 21-11-2013 Just get a TT filter on it? Only like £5 if that saves killing pump? RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 21-11-2013 Already got a TT filter. Not big enough. Wake up Chris ![]() Also forgot to add, i just got home from the test drive. And its pretty awesome i must admit. I have been driving with a blocked fuel filter for weeks so all this power feels so new to me lol. Its like i've awoken some kind of beast. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Chris_90 - 21-11-2013 ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 22-11-2013 The in/out pipes on the filter aren't 10mm :p RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Chris_90 - 22-11-2013 (22-11-2013, 07:37 AM)Tom Wrote: The in/out pipes on the filter aren't 10mm :p Oooooo I see ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - silverzx - 22-11-2013 If you do find a large filter, be sure to order me one / share the love. ![]() |
