It doesn't smoke much at all anymore. Now its had some miles. Starts boost at about 2k. Burns clean as a whistle all the way to about 5k

Thing is sean... what map were you thinking of. Do you wanna just go for a st2 map and be done, or do you wanna get st2 map, 1800bar FPR, R70 pump?
It's all dead easy work to do, pump change on top of cambelt is only another 20 mins on hdi.

I will b going down the r70 fpr and 072 injector route. Bit not till after Afghan as I will b getting new/recon pump and low mile injector.

So this is with danny and andy in the car with a pretty big boost leak, runnig at a pretty safe 20psi.
Getting the car up after work 2moro to have a look at the boost leak. Hopefully its going to be an easy fix.
Turbo is so noisy! Not sure if i like it atm!
Got 40mpg and that including 4 or 5 30 - 70 runs and a motorway drive home at 77... So not bad i dont think.
Feels pretty punchy but could only get about 12psi before it started leaking and i didnt want to pop a hose. [/b]

No, stage 2 150 map.. As said though, car was 3 up and you can hear the 'squeak' when it starts to leak boost.. we timed the 30 - 70 at around 6 seconds changing up at 4k in 3rd

Boost leak fixed... Kind of.
Going to proquire more cable ties at work so I can get my bottom pipe of my auto adjuster or the cable as its impeding my gear changes. Other than that boost is sick!
Wheels were lighting up in 4th going down hill!
I've wound he MBC down but I'm still getting about 24psi peak so might wind it back some more.

Man it must've been leaking bad! Bet it feels rapid now! Anywhere between 20-23psi should be fine mate, try and get another 30-70 haha

i did. slight uphill and a hesitation for 3 - 4th was just over 5 secs!
and i just cant get any grip. need new tyres!

Nice! You really need yo hold it in 3rd a little longer now to make use of the bigger blower, changing up at like 4.5k should be perfect, replied to your text about tyres btw

Mate 30-70 times are supposed to be an in gear time, not with a gear change, leave it in 3rd and itll be fine.
Oh and get a video of it up if its low 5s
Ill be interested when mines done as to weather its faster in 3rd or 4th

So, finally sorted the boost leaks once and for all! Such a nightmare tightening the clamp up on the 90 coming of the turbo!
Took it out for a spin and finally heard the screamer pipe! Sounds awesome. So excited for the RR day now.
Not sure if the mbc is working, wound it all the way in and im still hitting 24psi. I might try winding it the other way and see if that sorts it.
Oh, and this is pre leakfixed!
