Thanks mate. I may try and do mine in some blue material to go with the rest of the car.

One step ahead of you if it goes well.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Foxy-jim - 06-03-2012

Damn. Haha. What shade of blue do you have? I was thinking a navy blue for mine.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Pompey306mark - 06-03-2012

Royal blue. With black pillars and most likely black shades and handles.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Foxy-jim - 06-03-2012

Awesome. Sounds like a plan. I need to do this!

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Ruan - 06-03-2012

*AF is a Cornwall ending to numberplates btw...

That must have been bought in Cornwall - nuts!

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 09-03-2012

Didn't know that Ruan! Didn't know the old plates were regional?

Right had a bit more of a play now i've finally got time off! Spent most of the day with the wee man out and about so not a lot, but a bit more trimming was done. Excuse the pics, they're still coming out pinky red even after a play with the settings.

Anyway here's some pics of the car looking a lot more modern in my eyes..

Good work.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 10-03-2012

Well after a very productive scrappy trip today i've decided the car is getting a FMIC to go with the Bosch and T2 setup. Why? Because I found a non-EGR inlet manifold from a Berlingo. And I paid pennies for it. In fact for the grand total of £16.80 I got this little lot...

Non-EGR inlet manifold
Cam cover
Phase 3 rub strips
Window rubber strips that aren't bubbled
Bonnet badge
Spare LDA pin and compensator cap
Boost compensator hose
Bosch fuel lines
Grenade
Gear stick gaiter

Not a bad little haul ay? Pin's off to Dan! to be ground, manifold is going white, cam cover red, rub strips are getting trimmed in red suede (Yes, red suede!) for shows, bonnet badge is being experimented with. Result.

Need some Bosch injectors though, the ones on the 406 were with a semi-ECU controlled pump and wasn't sure if they'd be ok. Didn't have a big enough spanner either.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Foxy-jim - 10-03-2012

On the door cards did you take the old material off?

Good finds btw!

Re: Stanced XUD estate - mark_airey - 10-03-2012

Bargain mate, nice work Smile

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 10-03-2012

Nah jim, glued onto the old material. The stuff I used is quite thin so the old stuff acts as a nice underlay.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - 4WayDiablo - 10-03-2012

not bad haul!
how come it was 16.08 what an odd number? lol
ive been looking for ph3 rub strips but can never find 3dr Sad

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 10-03-2012

It was £14+VAT so £16.80 all in. Thought he said £40+VAT at first which i was still going to pay so imagine my surprise seeing the change from £50!

Re: Stanced XUD estate - 4WayDiablo - 10-03-2012

f*cking awesome! Big Grin now all you need to do is send me that manifold Big Grin

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 10-03-2012

£50 delivered sound good to you? Tongue

Got it because it clears the master cylinder easily unlike the xantia/406 one and is non-EGR as standard.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 10-03-2012

Bit of panorama for you, sorry about the size.

Also anyone know what this is? Came in the post with the Bosch...

Re: Stanced XUD estate - 4WayDiablo - 10-03-2012

Love the panorama! Galaxy nexus?

Re: Stanced XUD estate - mark_airey - 10-03-2012

The thingy in the pic is what the cold start wax stat cable connects to on the back of the pump, it goes through the little hole on the rocker and then through that thing your holding with the prog bits back over the rocker park (clear as mud I know but should make sense when looking at a pump lol )

Re: Stanced XUD estate - cwspellowe - 10-03-2012

Cheers mark

2WayDildo nah it's a Fuji S1900 combined with a bit of photoshoppery

Re: Stanced XUD estate - 4WayDiablo - 10-03-2012

Hahah not you aswell! Lol
Ah just wondering as my nexus does the panorama well

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Fozzy - 12-03-2012

I had my doubts about the red inside, but from that panorama i think it looks awesome.

Re: Stanced XUD estate - ginge191 - 12-03-2012

Re: Stanced XUD estate - Diggers - 12-03-2012
