RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 06-03-2014 so, removed the engine for a donor lump but got let down, so decided to paint and do a few things to my engine, so it had a new timing belt, waterpump MLS headgasket, headbolts, ngk glowplugs, oil and filter, and a repaint. ![]() couldn't be botherd to paint the starter/alt, kinda wish I did though. got an oil feed made for the gt20. ![]() ![]() decided to paint the engine bay, it needed it. ![]() engine going back in. ![]() and in ![]() ![]() ![]() finished and a wash. ![]() then decided to make an air feed for the gt20. ![]() my first ever engine change, borrowed a crane from a mate and me and my stepdad got on it, did it slowly and when we could be bothered, tax had run out anyway so wasent in a rush, taxed for 6 months now and also transferred my private plates over. got the gt boosting 19psi, as the pump needs more tweeks, using a td04 actuator atm, could do with an MBC and more fuel, also, speedo has stopped working and ive somehow got a winey tensioner or something. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Tom - 06-03-2014 Yes! Epic epic car now. Look forward to seeing your awesome in car videos, and more tuning and all that awesome shit. Keep us all posted with how it goes, videos much appreciated ![]() RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Piggy - 07-03-2014 looks ace bud...you must be pleased?? dopes she pull well even at 19psi?? and to be honest, 24/25psi is right at top of whats worth pushing with that gt20 RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 07-03-2014 hmm, 19psi, im not sure, was expecting more, and its laggier than I was expeting, feels more T2 in terms of spool. May need some more setting up, but being like a T2 to spool isnt a bad thing when you consider how it blows RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 07-03-2014 im aiming for 25psi max so will see how it goes. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Piggy - 07-03-2014 (07-03-2014, 12:19 AM)padge Wrote: im aiming for 25psi max so will see how it goes. yeah thats a fair wack, they begin to leave their efficiency zone after that and just make for heat. remember, its already doing a better job at 19psi than a td04 at 30psi RE: Bianca xud GT20 - mr_fish - 07-03-2014 What's the smoke situation like? you said the pump needs tweaking, does it coal much? may need some more to wake the blower up. are you running a 9mm or? Nice work though! See FB snippets, glad to see you've put it all together though! RE: Bianca xud GT20 - silverzx - 07-03-2014 Looking good mate. Think a TD05 would of sutied you more. ![]() RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Danny2009 - 07-03-2014 Wait the turbos on! Never thought I would see the day ![]() Looks good lad RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 07-03-2014 Thanks ![]() Mark not much smoke at all tbh RE: Bianca xud GT20 - silverzx - 07-03-2014 (07-03-2014, 01:05 PM)padge Wrote: Thanks Dunno, you seem like the type of guy that likes a bit of lag and then a big wave of POWAZ. Too right, my gt2056s is at full chat by 2000rpm, thats at 24psi. its on 11mm mind. and does smoke heavy if you mash it in obviously. sounds like she wants some more fuel, maybe a little advance too? RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 07-03-2014 Shes running a bit of advance as it is, dont want to really go anymore, you using an mbc piggy? RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Piggy - 07-03-2014 no, using the standard waste gate arm. going to need a stronger spring soon though, as it wont hold anymore than 24psi RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Frosty - 07-03-2014 Really glad you stuck at it mate! Top work! RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 07-03-2014 thanks matt ![]() now ive driven it more, 19psi really does fell good! RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 14-03-2014 ![]() random picture, got a whine coming from somewhere, driving me nuts! RE: Bianca xud GT20 - Tom - 14-03-2014 Looks really nice though mate!! Get a vid of the whine im sure we can work it out :p RE: Bianca xud GT20 - padge - 14-03-2014 no whine when its cold, only does it after 10 mins or so of driving, also, only whines on idle. RE: Bianca xud GT20 - mcglynn - 14-03-2014 should spray the underside of the bonnet bud, would look a lot fresher! could be timing belt too tight? i know when we fitted my hdi belt first time round it whined like s supercharger, was too tight on the timing belt |
