Going to do the A, B and C pillars in the same stuff, and the roof lining in the black version of the same material.

Plush interior trim LIKE A BOSS.

Oh and also here's the start of my stanceboard. Brand new deck but only cost Â£20, got it because the colours match the car and it says "hit the deck" on the bottom. Quite apt.

I've done my a pillars in black suede and it's much nicer driving at night as you don't get any reflection off of them. Looking good!

Ah the finished project is a long way off! I have a Bosch on the way now though for when I finally get the engine sorted. Bosch + T2 should do me nicely for now.

Had a couple of hours spare after work today so started more trimming. A-pillars are done, as seen earlier, i've now done the roof lining in black suede too. Looks nice and blush, just need to decide what to do with the visors and handles, black paint will look gash on them!

Some pics for your amusement. Ignore the wrinkles at the front of the headlining, they've been moved to where the centre light covers them so you won't see any in the car.

And look what turned up in the post today from Germany! Some laser cut flat caps for the wheels, along with four countersink bolts and some German Haribo <3 And looky look, they fit perfectly! Paint tomorrow me thinks.

Black paint looks fine on the visors and plastics. I did mine inatt black. Will take a photo for you tomorrow if you like?

Aye please. Did you use plastic primer or just paint straight on? I painted the plastics on the gti6 but wasnt sure about handles etc

Used primer on the handles and centre console but the visors I just painted straight onto. Have to give them a bloody good clean first though as you'd be supprised how dirty they are!

Bit more for today, didn't get much done though as i've been stripping the gti6 further ready to go to the scrap man.

Got the headlining fitted, bit pissed off as the headlining creased quite a lot when I was trying to get it back in the car, most of it flattened out again but some bits are still creased. Typical. Looks good though! Ran out of glue so couldn't do the B-pillars, and i've just noticed one of the C-pillars is f*cked so am on the look out for a new'un.

Took one of the door cards apart too and i've decided they're also going red, just need a glue gun to stick them back together. Investigated the seats too and they're going to be a PITA so am leaving them to the professionals and saving up a bit.

It also wouldn't be my car without stickers. So yeah.

Roof linings are a PITA to get in on your own. I struggled with a mate!
Personally I wouldn't have the red but it does look good!
I'm also doing my door cards at some point soon In alacantara to match the seats.

Thinking about trimming the lower glove box in the red but undecided yet, might be a bit overkill. Makes such a massive difference to the inside of the car as it is though!

Looking good, what material did you use and where did you get it from?

Also do you have any pics of the old car with the bonnet open so I can get a good look at the aero catches?

Mark i've never owner aero catches? Got the material from eBay though, just searched for "faux suede" and found some at about Â£3.50/m. Not arsed that it's not real suede, it feels and looks nice and thats all that matters Smile

Jim I used Trim Fix high temp glue, should do the trick as it was recommended by an upholsterer I know.
