The new road surfaces are awful, the vibration is crazy. Like Forest Rd and Combley Rd, you can feel the vibrations through the pedals...

It should be fine, mine is jubilee clipped on the turbo and I am over 30psi so you shouldn't really have any trouble as long as you clean it up and get all the oily shite off it all before putting it back together again Wink

Re: B-road basher - Curt - 05-04-2012

Looking good man, by the way I think I still have a quick shift in my boot for you from a Mr Doe?!

Re: B-road basher - ginge191 - 06-04-2012

Has boost again! a VERY night fit with the hoses, but i made sure many times that it was secure - if this doesnt hold... god knows what will..

Re: B-road basher - 4WayDiablo - 06-04-2012

Is it a mikalor?

Re: B-road basher - ginge191 - 06-04-2012

4WayDiablo Wrote:Is it a mikalor?

nope, jubilee, i took the inlet off and started a fresh, remember how tight that inlet was?? well i couldnt get the pipe back onto the turbo as that was WELL in the way

Re: B-road basher - mark_airey - 06-04-2012

Yey......as long as its all clean and the jubilee is in the right place and done up nice and tight you should be fine mate Wink

yeh i had a good feel and felt the top of the turbo, was a good finger width below that, was as much space as there was.

Also, WHY is there random screws sticking out of the bulkhead, they're made to cut people up right?!?!

Re: B-road basher - Atterz - 07-04-2012

I chopped mine off, the random screws that is.

Re: B-road basher - ginge191 - 21-04-2012

Smallish update...

Last few days, for those of you that don't know, i've been attempting to source some slider bolts for my calipers which were fooooooked, managed to get some from BIGGRED.co which were a pretty awesome company, thread is viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2893 there for anyone needing it.

Also sourced a spare wheel, so primered up and ready for painting - waiting for that in the post, which gives me a full set of 5, 205 GTI Speedline (ITALY) alloys, yes, ALL italy.

And finally picked up my quick shift from Ed at Ace last week, so i'll be getting that on when i have some time.

Finally, myself and grant are going to be building a super secret noonecanknow project once uni finishes, May 16th, so as soon as im free for the summer, time for spending a lot more time on the car!

Ta!

Dont rely on Connor...

Cheers mark, yeh im chuffed to have a set of 5 now! As picky as it sounds, they're not a mush mash of French Italian either!

Re: B-road basher - Niall - 21-04-2012

Quick shifts are epic! I hated mine at first but after a few miles of getting used to it, I wouldn't change back!!
