By buying some sub frames for a 3 door 306 lol

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - declantg - 30-10-2012

Anyone selling some? Smile can't wait to get these in, the project is moving a lot faster than my DT

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - Toms306 - 30-10-2012

How are the subframes secured to the seat? If theyre just bolted on use the ones from your current seats?

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - declantg - 30-10-2012

Think they need to be welded the guy said, can't I just weld the ones off my current seats?

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - Toms306 - 30-10-2012

Ah right ok, probably best not to your own ones then, just incase you mess it up.

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - declantg - 30-10-2012

Will just wait until payday so I can order some OMP ones

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - puglove - 30-10-2012

Yeah 3 dr ones dont bolt off.

You could always get some old shitty 3 dr seats cut them off and fab somthing up with angle iron. You would have to get it spot on though other wise your seats will be pissed lol

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - Curt - 30-10-2012

Unless you have experience in the area of fabrication, wouldn't bother with trying to modify the originals... It's not easy. There were some bargain Cobra bases on the bay which came up JUST after I spent £175 on my new ones... I'll try and find them if they're still on there

Could be quite easy curt,

cut runners off

Bolt the back in the car,

get 2 or 3 bits of flat bar/ angle bar

tack weld the runners wilst still in the car ( protecting anything you dont want burnt)

Take out , weld up,

bolt seats on

easy peasy jobs a goodun, and every thing is where it should be

RE: Declantg's HDI project.. - Matt - 30-10-2012

Easier said then done. Me an curt attacked a seat, knocked something up and was like this is awesome. Got it in the car and it was stupidly high.

Those are the same seats as mine, epic winning!
