Awesome update. Best update in last 3minutes for sure! Tongue

Is it a regular driver foob??

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Fooby - 22-03-2015

na, it has spec 2's on it at the moment, so any potential of mist has had the poor thing layed up.

I do most of my miles in my company motor, but as summer is coming its getting some TLC, fixed some long standing niggles and invested some cash in fixing some of the issues that can develop from sitting around for 6 months (getting ran once every few weeks maybe)

It still needs new shocks ideally, so I'll be getting them at some point once I've decided what I want to put on. Its going to get PS3's all round once I get all my GTi alloys tidied up and potentially refurbed if needed.

At some point in its future its getting a fully respray, because ever since i got lynx to do my rear quarter it just looks shit, and that its been in an accident, which it hasn't

Ace. Some real love for the '6 at last! Can't wait for the update in 6months Tongue

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Poodle - 23-03-2015

Well, compared to Fooby's hands, yes. Although i realise that's a lot like describing yourself as politically left of Mussolini.

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Niall - 23-03-2015

We all know fooby's philosophy....anything under WOT isn't worth it.

Adam drives in binary. Its all either on or off. And even then if the throttle isn't "on" the brakes are!

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Eeyore - 10-11-2015

Its almost the christmas meet... time for your annual pulling over!

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Stef205 - 07-01-2016

I just had chance to pulll apart foobys exchange unit mainly down to the flood of 106 axles. Firstly thanks to fooby for returning it and also to the great coms.

First visual inspection showed it had been on there awhile and straight away i found up and down movement in one side and from my experience that means dead tube. Sad anyway got it broken down.

Here is what is left of one of the outer bearings lol Again i will put this down to a failed arb seal probably from being disturbed at some point lowered etc.

This is the pin, both pins matched and i believe its been apart before torsion bars took a good 13tons to relieve aswell!

Stef Smile

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Dum-Dum - 08-01-2016

13 tonnes to get out!!!!! how does anyone lower a beam like that!!

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Stef205 - 08-01-2016

they just seize its not generally down to poor assembly but it was a very dry axle.

RE: Foobys PH2 Diablo GTi6 Project - Dum-Dum - 08-01-2016

How do people ever get them out by hand, can't see anyone getting more than a tonne of force in even with the biggest of sledge hammers

Fire. I got some out with the oxy acet. at work.. killed the seals in the process obviously.
