I have to keep the dimensions quiet unfortunately, as that's where the hard work has gone in from the Forgery's side... however just to let you know they come in at 655g a piece.

HDI rods are 788g but made out of a stronger material, so I can assume its the same with these rods but better material

Yes... Same reason you kept yours quiet Darren - don't want every man and his dog copying them! They are stock FITMENT, but by no means stock sized.

Yeah but this is a group buy across 10 people, not just you, so how is it a secret? Surely you should at least know, part of what you pay is for the design, so id expect to receive the techy drawings etc...
Only thing I keep quiet on mine was the total length due to CR...

If anyone on the list who is buying these rods wants detailed technical measurements - please drop me a PM and let me know.
I didn't think people would want to get bogged down in the details - just wanted to buy a set of H beam forged rods guaranteed to fit an XUD engine without the hassle and additional cost, hence why I am doing this group buy... to get more people pushing the XUD!

Just to keep you in the loop. I've been on the phone with them this morning.
Number is finalised, so no more on board now sadly.
The forging should be made up next week, and then they go into manufacture. There have been various problems with them knowing whether it could actually be done or not due to the taper on the little end causing issues - but appears to all be ok.
Hopefully we won't run into any problems over the coming weeks when they are made.
I'll keep you all updated.

It's something to do with the oil evacuation of the little end bearing... At a guess - YES...
But why can't it be machined afterwards, doesn't HAVE to be in the forging, does it?
The biggest problem with that taper is the little end bush, it's pressed in then has to be machined down... But it's definitely there for a reason... Infact, you definitely do, I remember speaking to a chap who works for a company who makes Aero diesel engines, they were saying that they've found that alot of companies can't get that taper right, causing problems...
