I think how ever free flowing the exhaust its the hdi exhaust manifold doesn't help, Must be the load they are put under. Just to think without a EGT gauge wouldn't have a clue they were getting that high and that may not end well.
I duno about steels, not the biggest fan. Think i like the nimrods to much

FCS15 came and went. Over all a decent weekend. Car performed faultlessly and returned 53mpg to the tank used over the weekend so pretty impressive with a mixture of driving.

Interesting to see the dyno comparison and the shapes of the curves and power band compared to when I had it. Nice little gains but they are all over the rev range and they haven't pushed the power band much higher.

Here you go, TB205 stage 2 map, 1800 bar rail sensor, gutted cat, mid box back box, K&N panel filter and a medium sized FMIC kit
Standard K03 turbo at 17.5 psi, standard pump, original injectors and although it had an 1800bar sensor it was running less than the 1500bar the standard sensor reads.

yeah that's the photo I was referring to Frost.
Take it down Darrens, run it up as it is, then try with the air intake off, only thing is you'd need to hook the MAF up somewhere.
Think the intake is too restrictive. As its been said before any filter/intake kills turbo performance.
Dum, had to lift off on the rollers as the EGT gauge was pretty high. Not sure if there was much more power up above 4k.

Soo the post pugfest update is in order i guess. I gave it a bit of time to see what photos of the car where floating about. Anyway between FCS and pugfest i dont think i had actually changed anything to the car which makes a change.
Us devon beys drove up to pugest in the morning, steady 2 hour drive. We arrived and parked up and then we for the briefing for the hill runs. I went for 4 runs altogether, 2 early bird and 2 PMs. The car went like a dream up the hill, performance was good and handled the connors really well pushing the khumos to the max. Not sure on what times i was getting but will know when i he the SJ cam videos. I felt quick but always hard to tell. Had passengers in the car each time and i hope they enjoyed it and my driving ability didn't scare them. Think on the last run come the end the clutch wasn't very happy as seem to lose drive, seems ok now though poss a higher biting point so will have to keep an eye on that. Not sure if it was the extra weight from Mr fish sneaking in the back seat or him telling me to get the clutch kicking out which i did a very poor job of.

Big thanks to anyone that got any pics or videos of the car. Was another top day out at pugfest with everyone.
On Monday i decided to drive all the way down to penzance to pick up some car bits (as you do on a day off). Managed to do it all on the same tank of fuel, well still showing a quarter left and had done 540 mile. Worked out the MPG and was 55mpg, really impressed with the fuel economy of this think when you get it on a run.

Ever since i got the car and when Jonny had it since he fitted the GT20 it has always needed mapping accordingly to the turbo so i got in contact with Pro Steve (HDi tuning). I went for him as he was most local and i wanted him to have the car in front of him as had a few issues. Anyway i explained that i was flat out at work and couldn't have time off due to being short staffed so Steve ended up popping over to me (just over an hour away) which was ideal and a massive help. He come out and did his thing. Got it running a lot sweeter and pulling well. I highly recommend Steve to anyone wanting HDi's mapping, really nice guy and knows his stuff.
Dove the car after he mapped it for a while and all going well. Obviously the next think was to find out what power it was producing. So a trip down to the rolling road at Tipton that a few of us use was in order. Ended up 3 of us going down with our cars, me Jimbo and Mark.

So about the video quality was taken on my phone and the video REALLY doesn't do the sound justice tbh
And the result
177.1 bhp at the flywheel, 144.8 bhp at the wheels and 279.1 lbf.ft. Pretty happy with the result though it would of been nice to hit the 180bhp mark to say its double stock power buy oh well. Just wish i had turned the boost up a tad and i reckon it could of hit it. Good news though the CG clutch seems to have settled it and is holding fine.
And just for anyone that is interested this is a graph with mine and jimbo's stage 2 on.

That's because the stock turbo makes chronic low-down torque once tuned, not really a good thing unless you're specifically trying to explode your transmission.

Pretty much what poodle and piggy have said tbh. At first i did think it would a bit low, but when Steve mapped it he said about 400nm which isn't to far out i think.
As i see it it's not a bad thing the torque being a tad lower as saves the clutch a bit

Not too much to update on this. Only real change I've done is swap the seats and door cards back to the leaf pattern as i had the original seats out of it seat in my bead room and seemed a shame to waste them as they are pretty tidy.
Will prob take it off the road for a bit soon as tax is up at the end of the month and i got the 205 to drive round as the winter banger, plus want to try and get the dt swapped onto the insurance with this 1. Not much planned for it though. Hopefully finally get the powerflex bushes fitted to a set of bottom arms and get the fitted

Still pretty quiet on this 1. Got it MOT'd last weekend so all good for another year. I've been thinking about changing the front suspension for a while and some fairly new B8s popped up for sale so i'm going to give them a try.

They come with with some Eibach springs but i want to go a bit lower than them so was looking at H&Rs and then spoke to jonny who has some and he is after some Eibachs so we are swapping springs this weekend. Then hopefully get the struts on next week at some point.
Also still need to try and sort out the powerflex bushes for the front arms i got. Will try and do them the same time as the struts.
Did have the issue of the car sound aggressive in the lower revs which i put a thread up about and Ruan suggested injectors so i swapped them out for another set and it seems to be better though i haven't driven it much since.

Got a few little bits done to this before FCS. Finally got round to fitting the powerflex bottom arm bushes that i picked up from last FCS from the group buy that Paul sorted out on here. Got the P bushes and front control bushes and added some new TRW ball joints as well.

Fitted them and then tracked it up again as they had put the tracking up a fair amount. Also seen a bit lately about the 307 alternator with the clutch pulley so i thought i would give 1 a go. Got 1 off ebay from £28 posted i think. All looked good apart from where the wires connection as the 307 had a plug instead of the signal wire. So i decide to pop the back off the alternator to see if i could swap the bits over.

Which i could so that was a bonus and put it all back together and no one would know its been apart.

One of the take offs on the inlet had been popping out a bit lately as well so i popped the inlet elbow off and got a new barbed fitting fitted once i had tapped a bigger hole for it. Only other thing is it sounds like we have a boost leak when it starts to hit around the 12psi mark. I had smoke tested the pipe work and that seemed ok and took some of the pipes off to have a look and check them and they looked ok. I'll have to try and have more of a look at that soon but it drove up to FCS and back with no issues.

Got some hill runs booked up for pugfest but need to sort the noise that i got coming from it when getting the boost up. Have a bad feeling it could be the turbo which isn't the end of the world but still a pain. I picked up another 1 the other night just incase anyway. Hopefully will get it stripped down this week sometime and find out whats going on.

Cheers chap, not been driving it overly much the last year really. Trying to keep it fairly tidy and had the 205 that i drove mostly over the winter and now got the dt back on the road that i drive most the time.
The rough spec of it is pretty much the same engine wise as it has been for the last few years with the gt20 etc. Suspension is as you have prob seen recently bilstein B8s on the front with h&r springs, bottom arms with powerflex p bushes and front bushes and new trw ball joints. Rear axle has the 23.5mm torsion bars and koni shocks. Anything else you wanted to know spec wise?

The way i look at it is hopefully less strain on the aux setup. As i have got the solid 307 bottom pulley that obviously doesn't have any where near as much give/damping in it as a standard 306 one does and the clutch on the alternator kind of helps with that i guess. its pretty much the same set up now as you would find on some of the 206/406 2 litre HDi's. Pulley shouldn't have any issue with the bottom pulleys, unlike the standard 306 ones that tend to play up a bit. The clutch pulleys don't seem to give too much issue on the PSA stuff either unlike the VAG stuff so hopefully i won't have any issue with it.
