The bulbs are the same make as what my other kit is which cost me £60 a few years ago. But the balast are tiny. Try have some sort of inverter as well so I'd probs say that's to stop flickering.

Got my kit today, tried to fit it and one of the bloody connectors between the bulb and ballast fell apart
Was worth a punt though I suppose.

I havent had any problems with my connectors? I thought the seems quite sturdy tbf? Is someone a bit heavy-handed?

To be fair I have the delicate touch of a rapist lol. Thought about sending it back but CBA with the hassle TBH, Probably just get a new bulb.
