Seriously though, well done.....no idea how long its taken us now, probably 6 weeks lol.

We got the bottom bolt then, wo just the higher up one to find....hmm....

All our bolts are out we're just struggling to separate the gear box. Defferntly thrust bearing gone as we pulling plastic out. Just hoping there's no damage to gear box.

RE: HDi Clutch Change - samass - 06-09-2012

dont forget to remove the clutch fork arm pin before you pull the box off

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Toms306 - 06-09-2012

That doesn't apply to HDis apparently.

And I've no idea Kent, we havent got any further due to my car being a pile of turd.

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Danny2009 - 06-09-2012

The spleen!? Confused

And yeah, you'll never get it out without a stud remover lol, was difficult even with it!

HDi Clutch Change - kentiiboii - 06-09-2012

There we go clutch it out. And the thrust bearing is abliterated!

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Toms306 - 06-09-2012

Oops, think that's f*cked lol.

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Mr Whippy - 06-09-2012

Yeah that looks a bit broken Big Grin

Dave

I think the people who changed the clutch last. Just did clutch and pressure plate. Cos they was luk and thrust bearing was Valeo.
So may it be a lesson to all the cheap skates out there. If your takin the box off do the lot together Smile.

RE: HDi Clutch Change - DaveW - 06-09-2012

Tbh, it hasn't taken us long......it's just that we're doing it so disjointed and at like an hour a time lol. Tongue

HDi Clutch Change - kentiiboii - 07-09-2012

Mine has taken so long because everything is seized! The hub nut we had breaker bar on it and my weight.... It just laughed at us. Didn't budge. So we took the whole hub out.

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Toms306 - 07-09-2012

Hub nuts? Yeah leave those buggers lol, theyre at like 350Nm or something lol.

We popped the shfts out of the box still attached to the hubs....

HDi Clutch Change - kentiiboii - 07-09-2012

We took the hub on the gear box side out. Because we couldn't menouver the gear box out. Because everything shattered i wanted gear box off to make sure it's ok. Smile

We're gonna take the gearbox off.....

We popped the hub off the bottom balljoint so theres plenty of space. Smile

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Toms306 - 07-09-2012

RE: HDi Clutch Change - Toms306 - 09-09-2012

*makes mental note to put the bearing on the right way*

That sounds like the kind of fail I'd do James haha!

HDi Clutch Change - kentiiboii - 09-09-2012

I think i got mine right way. When I go down tomorrow I'll take a picture and send it you dude. Smile. Just got to get the box and drive shafts back in tomorrow.
