RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - impotentials - 02-06-2016 Just to say I seem to be in both as different colours than mine is. Team Nile baby!! RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - bashbarnard - 02-06-2016 im also track time i can park in car park if need be or at the back my car isnt exactly show worthy considering i only got it two weeks ago RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Dum-Dum - 02-06-2016 My car definitely isn't show worthy but it's got alot of shiny in the bay and makes the best noises (as well as being pretty much the most powerful thing on stand) RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - mikey b - 02-06-2016 (02-06-2016, 08:38 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: My car definitely isn't show worthy but it's got alot of shiny in the bay and makes the best noises (as well as being pretty much the most powerful thing on stand) After today I don't like scobbys been doing all the exhaust manifold gaskets and the one that goes up to the turbo fun when customers bring it in hot lol RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Dum-Dum - 02-06-2016 (02-06-2016, 08:49 PM)mikey b Wrote:(02-06-2016, 08:38 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: My car definitely isn't show worthy but it's got alot of shiny in the bay and makes the best noises (as well as being pretty much the most powerful thing on stand) Yeah you can see how it took me days to fit my exhaust. The up pipe (especially the standard one with the cat in) is such a cock to remove, I cut it in half but apparently a specialist would jack the engine up off the mount. RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Sarah207 - 02-06-2016 Yay thank you ![]() Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk (02-06-2016, 12:30 PM)Eeyore Wrote: Just as an FYI the front row may not be long enough so may need to go to row 2. If it is wide enough you'll be front but we won't have any idea till we get down there RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Sian - 03-06-2016 (02-06-2016, 09:40 PM)Omikey b Wrote:(02-06-2016, 09:35 PM)Sian Wrote: I made more effort then normal but I didn't bother with front row admission hahahaha. It's looking a lot cleaner on the front end now with the new indicator lenses and few extras. Needed it after 4 years of looking the exact same! Always a laugh cruising back RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Matt - 03-06-2016 (03-06-2016, 07:13 AM)Eeyore Wrote:(02-06-2016, 11:41 PM)Matt Wrote: Bollocks. Next one after isn't until 7am, and I should have been there by then ![]() RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - RetroPug - 05-06-2016 Were there even any rows? I got there massively late and just dumped the car near the other 306s. RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - cully - 05-06-2016 yes our stand was in rows too small an area for the amount of cars we had though RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Dum-Dum - 05-06-2016 (05-06-2016, 01:09 PM)cully Wrote: too small an area for the amount of cars we had though Yeah, the same issue we've had every year it's been at Combe. I don't know how other clubs get such massive stands. RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Piggy - 05-06-2016 We gota huge stand last year..best ever. Was seriously dissapointed this year tbh. Do they even consider that no one cares about "built not bought" and that those with track time need to be near...well...the track entrance?? (no fault of staff though, you guys worked hard to get everyone on our garden sized patch and next to our "premium viewing area") RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Dum-Dum - 05-06-2016 (05-06-2016, 01:48 PM)Piggy Wrote: We gota huge stand last year..best ever. I would have been very interested in built not bought if the cars were as such, some of the cars there had thousands of pounds wourth of wheels, air rides and IIRC one had a retrimmed interior. I highly doubt it was done by anyone at home on their driveway and certainly (IMO) it's not in the spirit of built not bought. Are you however suggesting that everyone who is going on track throughout the day (40 cars per 2 hr session and 20 cars per 20 min session) which is 240 cars get all the spaces near to the track? That would leave some club stands very depleted and totally strip clubs of cool fast cars, furthermore half of the fun with going on the track from the club stand is everyone sees you going out so gets a viewing point, you've got lots or willing mechanics and people to store your kit while you are out on the track. As for the stand I really would love to know how every year we get such a small stand (in area per car) compared to others. I appreciate that especially with our clubs dwindling numbers we don't necessarily command a premium space but the track noise did get a little tiresome in the afternoon. RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Piggy - 05-06-2016 Yeah I agree with you tbh. Just #rant. Totally agree on the built not bought aspect too RE: French Car Show 2016 Front row - Dum-Dum - 05-06-2016 (05-06-2016, 02:46 PM)Piggy Wrote: Yeah I agree with you tbh. It fucks me off as you then end up with people like Justin (with the red rattle canned estate) saying he won't go on built not bought as he feels people are taking the piss out of him. Its such a shame as his car was looking spot on at the weekend and was built on a council estate on a budget, the epitome of built not bought IMO. |
