Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - Ed Doe - 20-04-2012 ![]() i love how quickly this has gone from a fairly technical discussion to a "lets see how badly we can advise Matt on what to include in his servicing regime" ![]() Xsi horrendously down on power. - Matt - 20-04-2012 Unfortunately I have a wedding to go to otherwise I'd be there! Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - samass - 20-04-2012 i like to mix a cup of fairy liquid in with each litre of oil i put in. helps it slide in nice and easy Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - Niall - 20-04-2012 samass Wrote:i like to mix a cup of fairy liquid in with each litre of oil i put in. helps it slide in nice and easy God you talk shit. You do however want to put some baby oil in before you put the engine oil in. Makes for a super lubed engine giving a few bhp more....true story. Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - samass - 20-04-2012 thats what it was. one of the two. Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - samass - 20-04-2012 ![]() Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - Scott - 20-04-2012 Johnsons' 'No More Tears' also works a treat instead of radiator fluid. It stops you from crying when your head gasket goes Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - Niall - 20-04-2012 Tell ya what is also good is sticking a tampax in the radiator. That way, if it ever decides to leak, it will save you the embarrassment and keep you fresher for longer. Xsi horrendously down on power. - Matt - 20-04-2012 how unbelievably off topic can this go. And admin is involved....... ![]() Xsi horrendously down on power. - Ed Doe - 20-04-2012 Niall Wrote:Tell ya what is also good is sticking a tampax in the radiator. Yeah christ you don't wanna do a 'nad' and leak red down your leg in the middle of ace caff carpark!! Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - samass - 20-04-2012 Christ no, that would be embarrassing! Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - 4WayDiablo - 20-04-2012 The afore mentioned 106 period ![]() LOL Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - samass - 20-04-2012 Lolz Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - Grant - 21-04-2012 Only just seen this and CBA to read through the 3 previous pages of posts, so if someone has already said it I apologise. My cat caved in on itself and blocked. This blew a hole in the fire ring, so the exhaust was blowing from the cat/mani joint. Consequentially little or no exhaust gasses were passing the lambda so the car was over fuelling like a bitch. Im talking 130 miles to a tank here. Combing the horrendous amount of back pressure with the lambda being bypassed and there was feck all power. So, is your cat ok, and how bad is the joint blowing? I was surprised how much better my car went after having the new cat on, the power loss just creeps up on you and you dont notice too much... Xsi horrendously down on power. - Matt - 21-04-2012 Yes grant I would presume the cat is okay, it's not a major blow that I have just a slight one, I'm not overfueling that much so should be okay. I'll be changing the oil filter and oil this week. And gti exhaust mani next month Re: Xsi horrendously down on power. - samass - 23-04-2012 + decat, yesshum?
